Money buys time. A few more months, perhaps four, if God allows. We took Beau Teak in to the Vet for another recheck this afternoon. Hubby went with me this time. The bottom line: Beau has congestive heart failure. He is a Siamese cat. Ten years ago my darling Samyot developed cancer. I bade him farewell. I then heard that a Siamese sat in our local shelter. I drove over there and found Beau Teak sitting in a dark cage. Fed and watered and looked after but no natural light. He had been there for 10 days. I told him I would free him. He put his Siamese arm through the wire cage, trying hard to get to me. The Shelter had him neutered and I took him home. Today the Vet said she would do a centesis tap every month- that means she would use a syringe to remove fluid from Beau's chest cavity. That would help his heart to beat easier and he would breathe easier. Plus meds that I would force on him every morning. Hubby and I talked it over. We will give it a try for the next four months. The Vet said she would not charge for the X Rays and she would not charge for a check up. Just the Tap. Right this moment Beau Teak is sitting on my hubby's lap, the two having a quiet moment of peace. I'm grateful we can buy Beau Teak a little time.
