End of Day One

So we left at noon after a little drama, and we just checked into our Dallas hotel. I’m alone now, but Amyra is coming to stay in my room soon. I was supposed to share a room with my dad and stepmom, but they didn’t sleep well last night, and I think they want to go to bed very early. My dad didn’t want me to feel like I had to be quiet, so he got another room for he and Diana. So it’s just me and two queen sized beds. So Mindy is sending Amyra over. That will be more comfortable for all of them too. The picture is of Annelyn sleeping on the way to Dallas (we fly from Dallas to Boston tomorrow). It was not a comfortable trip, but I finally got to go to Bucc-ee’s. The convenience store to end all convenience stores. I would have been over the moon had I seen that place as a kid. As it was, my nieces and nephew were certainly excited. When we got to the hotel, Hudson walked in and said, “Oo-la-la!” It’s a nice hotel, but I’m just glad it has a fridge. I got a big salad I couldn’t finish, but will be tasty in a few hours. Anyway, tomorrow we get up at 5:30am so I’ll be turning in early tonight! Are there Bucc-ee’s near you? UPDATE: Our flights were cancelled. No cruise.
