Going Home

Well, the flights were canceled, and we couldn’t get any other flights (boy did my sister and BIL try). So we thought, okay, there is a cruise out of Galveston, we’ll pivot and go to Mexico and Honduras. At least that’s something. But no, that fell though too.
We’re headed home tomorrow. Of course, tears were shed.

@AmbiePam I just looked up the news for flights from Texas to Boston and they're saying a widespread communications blackout/radar glitches have affected both areas and are advising people to check with their airlines and see what alternatives are available in the areas. And it appears there are few if any choices in the matter.

I am so very sorry ……you were looking forward to the cruise so much ….and I was really looking forward to hearing all about it. Why were the flights cancelled ? Will you get your money back ?

I'm so sorry, what a disappointment. It seems communications systems had a major failure. Nothing you could do about that but such a shame, I hope you had travel insurance!
At least you got a little bit of time together with family I guess.
