Help! I'm Locked Out of Facebook Messenger!!!

All of a sudden a couple of days ago, I was no longer able to access my current Messages in Facebook Messenger.
To retrieve those messages, it wants me to enter my PIN number??? I don't have a PIN number; and it's not letting me reset it.
Can you help? Thanks!

Chat GPT says you need to do account recovery. It gives you the steps if you want to go that route. You may have to reset your pword and pin..or at least your pin.

I don't know how to do that. Michael said to try resetting my pin on my desktop? We shall see.

My daughter had this happen to her about a month ago. She found that she had been hacked. When she went to make a new account, she found that Facebook wouldn't let her. She waited quite a while and tried again. Facebook still wouldn't let her. As far as the 'pin number' do you have an default account or cell phone that is listed on your account. If so they will send a 'pin number' to that account to verify it is really you.

I don't understand any of this and I have managed to avoid anything about a PIN number, Maybe this can help but I think you have to be a rocket scientist

I have never heard of being asked for a PIN in messenger. Nor have I ever been asked for one either. That is super weird.
