If you get a Christmas card from me this year….

A few of you may remember last Christmas someone from the post office stole my Christmas cards (the post office admitted this when 3 months later they brought them to my front door all opened with just one envelope). Why? Well, if you got a Christmas card from me you know my cards aren’t like a regular card. They are usually thick (they charge me like they are packages). Some moron probably thought he/she was going to get a Christmas card stuffed with gift cards, but they did not. The post office got a LOT of calls about the situation as hundreds of people (according to the man I spoke with) wanted to know why their packages never made it to the first processing center. I still can’t believe they count my cards as packages.
You might tell me not to send Christmas cards this year. I’m still going to send them, just not in the way I have been. I’m going through Amazon. If you get a Christmas card from me it will be brand new; you can even use it again. I’ll include a message too. But I’m saving money on shipping, and it’s less likely to get stolen (as compared to last year).
A lot of people tell me they keep the cards so I don’t feel like most go into the trash either. I hope I can afford to send all the ones I want to. I still find it fun to send them.

I believe I saved one of your previous Christmas cards so I could put it out at Christmas as decoration!

I wasted so much money due to someone’s greed. And as annoyed as I was, when I talked to someone in the post office, they apparently had some irate customers on their hands. Other people made a big fuss, and I don’t blame them. That’s not the first time the post office has stolen something around here.

@AmbiePam That is pretty shady of them to do that....it is almost a worry to send anything via USPS anymore it seems. Well I haven't had any issues here but I don't send things out much.

When it comes time for me to renew my credit card I’m going to ask the issuing bank to either UPS it or let me pick it up from a branch, because I’ve had three credit cards disappear out of the mail. And then there’s the Christmas cards I didn’t get. I do not blame you in the least for using something other than the post awful.

I don’t even know how you get the post office back on track. Where does one even begin?
You’ve had the worst “luck” with the post office, followed probably by @MarieCoyle .

@AmbiePam — I think they have me on the “poop list” because I used to work there.

Bless your heart, I know that was so discouraging. I kept every card you've sent me, but please don't feel bad if you decide it's better not to send cards. You're very loved either way.

Theft is getting worse and worse with the USPS. I don't blame you for trying to find an alternate way to make sure your thoughtful cards get delivered. Of course I was going to say that you don't have to send me one. It's also crazy that they charge you for a package rather than basic postage.
I recently send a new home card to my grandson and his wife and they never got it. I had to stop payment on the check I had enclosed in the card and it was just a big hassle.

That was a disappointment for you last year. You are sweet to take the time and thoughtfulness to do this.

Last year was the first year in 45 years that I didn't send Christmas cards.
