My aunt is ill.

Yesterday my sister told me that my aunt was ill. I called today to see how she was doing. She is 103 years old so every ailment is a big one.
She told me that she was coughing but that no phlem came out so that a therapist was coming to have her do some exercises (that left her aching all over). She told me that she was being called from up high and that it was enough. I reminded her that we who were down here were wanting here here too.
Tomorrow, when I go to Dixie´s, I´ll tell her to put her name in her group of colective praying for the ill. Although I don´t belong to any church, I do believe in the power of colective prayers.
Do pray for her or send good vibes. Thank you.

Thank you. She is a lovely person and although she is so old, her mind is as clear as always.

@marguicha You're welcome.
I wish my family was like that but most of them, as they get into their 70s or 80s, begin to suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Not all of us suffer from that disease but enough to make Pretty and I worry about it.

@DaddyEvil Some people think that Alzheimer´s and old age´s senility are the same. They are 2 different diseases. If your family has had problems due to old age, you can help yourself with a good diet. Lots of veggies, fish and white meat. Not too many of those delicious things I so love. A fruit is much better than a piece of cake.

She is as bright as ever. And, better still, as nice as ever.

I certainly will add to the collective prayers. (I feel as you do) 103 years on this earth is nothing to sneeze at. She should know what is going on in her soul and such. I wish her well.

@marguicha Today I also received news that my uncle was admitted to the hospital, apparently due to a stroke.

She is. And she always has been. She was a social worker when women here waited to get married. She took care of my grandma (from my father´s side) but managed to have very good jobs so that they sent her to different parts of the world. She went to Europe , Asia and Africa then.

@MarieCoyle she is. But as she is now more frail, she is more lonely too. There are many things that she can´t do .
