Cousin #2 was here yesterday to do her usual; and she brought all the Thanksgiving food with her. Beggars can't be choosers; but she bought a small package of turkey tenderloins; so there will be no leftovers. I was hoping for another meal on Friday. Oh well. The weather forecast went from 1.3" of s**w with gale warnings to now possible heavy amounts of lake effect s**w with blizzard conditions on Thanksgiving. I hope that doesn't come to fruition!!! Breakfast - Oatmeal bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Ham, cheesy potatoes, mixed veggies, applesauce Dessert/Snack - Strawberry crumble bar Dinner - Chicken/vegan cheese sandwich, veggie straws, black cherries What did you eat yesterday? The usual for lunch, and vegetable barley soup with potatoes and rice added. And Triscuit (low-fat) with (low-fat) cheese and applesauce and fiber!

Sorry that's what she brought and there won't be leftovers. Hopefully the snow won't change to that...why does it have to be bad around the holidays..

I had to really think about what I did eat yesterday. I recall a salad with a bit of chopped chicken, Beef Barley soup I took out of the freezer, and some yogurt. Oh, and an apple! Turkey tenderloins are really good, even if there might not be leftovers.

I like turkey tenderloins, I like more than a whole stuffed turkey. Well at least you will not be alone for Thanksgiving.

I like turkey tenderloins but they certainty aren't enough for leftovers. I can understand that you're disappointed. Hope the weather doesn't get too bad there. We have rain today and tomorrow but none of that white stuff . Last night we had grilled chicken, baked potatoes and mixed vegetables.

That weather forecast sounds pretty dire. I hope it doesn't get that bad.

At least you had something. Turkey tenderloins sound good. Not sure I have ever cooked one. Although I saw some from Jennie-O at Menards the other day. For dinner I made what I call "dirty rice," which isn't really, but it really good anyway. I just browned up some ground beef, drained it and set it aside, then cooked up some onion, celery, and red peppers in butter, added in 1 cup of rice, sprinkled in some garlic powder, thyme, curry powder and Italian seasoning, cooked that a bit then added the ground beef back in, a little soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce and 3 cups of beef broth, let it cook a bit, lidded it and let it sit for about 5 or so minutes and served. Man, oh man. Good eats!
