Sometimes, I like to try to cook something I've not tried before, or a new recipe or just something different to enjoy. Today was that day. My son loves Italian food--anything. (If he lived close to NJChicaa or @LadyDuck, he would weigh a ton!) My way of making lasagna is to make my own sauce, etc. and put it together myself--and my family loves it, so I must do something right. But it is rather time consuming when I am in a rush. Anyway...son said he had crock pot lasagna once years ago, at a friend's house. He wasn't impressed, he said it didn't taste good. But he wanted me to make it in the crock pot using my own recipe with my own sauce, to see what it would taste like. I got brave today and did that. We had it for dinner and it was really delicious, I was shocked. I expected it to be gummy and gloppy, but it was good! The main thing was that he enjoyed it a lot. He has good ideas sometimes about cooking. On busy or hard days, it's nice to let dinner cook and not have to worry about it until dinnertime. Pinterest picture.
