How big is your TV?

I was talking to snowy about my Christmas wreath being stuck behind my TV because when I got a bigger TV about five years ago I can no longer reach it. That made me wonder about how big everyone’s TV is. I used to get my parent’s old television every time they’d get a new one. My dad won’t buy anything for himself, and he only watches the news and football, but he will buy a big TV. Somehow, he always gets a great deal on it.
So five years ago he wanted me to have a brand new one for my birthday. He took me to see two, and I told him I wanted the smaller one because I worried the bigger picture might hurt my head. But on my birthday, he brought in the 65 inch. I thanked him, but asked why he got the bigger one for me. He sheepishly said, “It just seemed wrong to get the smaller.”
Thankfully, it’s never caused a migraine.
How big is your TV? Does anyone only watch TV on a laptop or something else?

That is super big for an apartment. How can you watch it without getting a headache? You must be close to it. Mine is small only about 32 inches. My son was telling me I need a bigger TV, but then you have to change the wall mounting rails and stuff. Maybe if he volunteers to do it for me, I will get another one at some poiint.

@AmbiePam I hope it is not causing some of your migraines.

@snowy22315 Nah,I can usually pinpoint why I have a migraine, and it’s never been my TV.

There is an old-fashioned CRT screen television in the living room that is 26" but it's only hooked up to a DVD/VCR machine and one of Pretty's gaming consoles. It can't pick up television signals anymore since we moved to this house. (She uses three flat-screen television sets (36" LCD) in her bedroom as monitors for her desktop setup, but none of them can receive television signals, either.)
I haven't watched television in around 20 years or more unless I was visiting someone who had a television running in the background.

I have two, but I don't watch either one. I think the 'big' one is 21" and the other is something like 12" with a built-in VCR. I seem to have lost the remote for that one so can't watch tapes anymore, even if I wanted to.

When I moved into this apartment, my brother said I should get a Roku T.V., which is what I have. Never measured it, but I'm guessing looking at it it's about 52"?

I don't remember but it's not that big. The one in my No Football Room is smaller than the family room

I bought a new one a couple of months ago. I think it is 50 inches. I just got whatever my ex suggested. He knows way more about tech than I do. It replaced a 42 inch plasma that was like 15+ years old. I paid $179. I always have the TV on in the background but rarely sit down to watch it.
The funny thing is that back in the day we semi-finished the basement to make a man cave and entertaining area. We bought a 50 inch plasma and eventually replaced it with a 58 inch one a few months later. They were shockingly big at the time. Now they seem small.

Sometimes I wish my TVs were larger. My downstairs one is 36" and I watch most of my sports on that one. I have 2 on the 2nd floor. One 27" in our living room which is located there and another in my bedroom.
That's an impressive size TV you have. You can definitely take in all the action on one like that.

My oldest son and my youngest daughter bought me a new TV about 5 years ago. Mine was very small...son said it looked weird, and that no one could read captions, etc. from the couch, which was correct. So they trotted out to buy a new one for me. I agreed to a 48" as I recall, but they showed up with a bigger one, I think it's 55''. The one they purchased was on sale for the same price as the smaller ones. It's honestly just about perfect. I only have one streaming service--currently it's Hulu, and I pay almost nothing for it as I got a year at a very discounted price. When the year for that is over, I will try to shop around for another bargain.
