Again
What can I say, I prefer what I'm familiar with and good ole John is too dadgum funny.
Last night I cracked up just before bedtime while watching the June 18 1981 episode of the Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, I was still chuckling even after I laid my head on my pillow to try to sleep.
Does the new kid Kimmel love animals also? Does he bring people who handle wild animals on his show? Do they bring animals to show people?
Ok ok, enough questions, right
So here's the clip of what made me crack up>

I was a big fan of Johny Carson and still think he's been the best late night tv host ever.

I've only seen clips of Johnny Carson after I grew up. Mom and dad didn't like him so always turned the channel when he came on. *shrug*
I've never watched Jimmy Kimmel so can't answer your questions.
I do like the photo of the handsome kids sleeping you posted, though.

I do not like monkeys or apes very much but I you would have to know a little about Johnny Carson to understand the humor. To me he was fairly funny but because he loved animals I like him.
Kimmel is not worth watching, to me he is an imbecile.

I love all those segments with Jim Fowler and Joan Emory when they'd bring their kritters. It was actually educational.

I used to watch Johnny Carson with my parents when they’d let me.
I have watched every rerun several times with hubs. I think he was the best one out there - better than Steve Allen, Jack Parr, Merv Griffin, etc. I started watching Jimmy Fallon after sweet Jay Leno left, but got sick of him. Watched one Kimmel show and decided my sleep was more important.

That is absolutely hilarious!
I like watching him when I catch him in reruns on Antenna TV (the name of the channel; I have cable).
Jimmy Kimmel is funny, but he’s mean spirited (I’m not talking about his speeches about Trump). Johnny Carson was never mean spirited, even when making fun of politicians.

Johnny was good. The pets are twinning in the pic.

Oh, gosh! Johnny and the animals. So funny. There is a lady that used to bring on some animals too and she brought some animals that caused some fun too. Kimmel doesn't do any of that like Carson used to. It's a new age.

@rebelann .......That's the one. I always enjoyed the episodes when people from the zoos brought in animals.

I loved Johnny Carson, I used to stay up late to watch the Tonight Show. I can't Stand JK, he is a one trick pony. I find Michael McIntyre hysterical, he is a British comic. Sometimes I laugh out loud all by myself, lol

The show was called the Tonight Show which was hosted by Johnny Carson from 1962 until he retired in 1996, I'm not sure if his show was ever aired in any other country but if you're curios about him he is on YouTube to some small extent.
Thank you, they don't let me take these kinds of shots anymore and you know how hard it can be to sneak up on an animal.

I've only been able to watch Carson over the past 2 or 3 years, back when he was live I was either working when he was on or didn't stay up late enough due to my work schedule being early in the day.
From what little I've seen I mostly like those episodes where someone is showing off a wild animal or pet.
