Scary but Sweet Find!

Soo yesterday I was on Facetime with my best friend who is from Texas and he was telling me that he was having a terminator stop by his house due to a large presence of Bee’s on his rear porch. Long story short, they ended up finding a massive honeycomb with over 30,000 honey making Bee’s. The guy was very intelligent and was able to extract the queen safely and offered to give my best friend the majority of the honey once he collects and processes it. Not sure how much honey they will recover but I know the amount will be plentiful as the bees had made a honeycomb that was the size of half of his 12x9 porch. Cant wait to get some mason jars of honey soon lol.

That is the way to go, the bees are protected, they must extract the queen so that all the bees move. We had a yellow jacket nest under the roof of out top balcony. It took a while to get rid of all of them.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX - I know that bees are useful, but I would be scared having a massive honeycomb under the porch.

He bought the house last summer, and noticed a couple of months ago a lot of bees coming and going to his rear porch to the point you can hear them through the wooden floor boards. He said it sounded like humming

That's a massive honeycomb! I'm allergic to beestings so would have been spraying the back porch to get rid of them as soon as I noticed any bees back there! Some people on myLot gripe at me for spraying bees but I don't like spending time in the hospital and that's where I end up if I get stung.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX We had a hive of yellow jackets under a bush that attacked me when I was trying to mow. I still have scars from them. We had to take the bush out to get rid of them. I was in the hospital for a week the last time they attacked me.
