I´m so sad.

I just learned that the daughter of my late husband´s best friend died. She was around 60, a couple of years older than my daughters. Her illness was called miastenia gravis. It seems that there´s no cure for it. It is hard to see young people die. I remember that when my husband died I could not look at very old people for a long time. I accept my imperding death but I´m 80. But younger people have so much to do.

It seems that the last time she was suffering a lot. But I´m devastated for the pain of my friends. I can only hope their faith helps them.

@LadyDuck And surviving is not the same as living. Although I had my own interests, my husband was the center of my life.

@marguicha It's very hard, Mom survived more than 40 years after my Dad was gone.

I'm sorry, it's not an easy illness and I know there is no real cure for it. One of my daughters lost a friend a few months ago from cancer who wasn't even 40 yet...she had children and a husband who are so lost without her. It happens, and it's so hard.

@MarieCoyle They have not yet answered my mail telling them that I´d like to go and give them a hug when they can have me.

@marguicha No one wants to outlive their children. And yes, her parents are no doubt just drowning in grief.

My father had that and lived to be 82. I know 60 seems young, but you know it's a decent life to have lived.

I don't know what to say, but I still hope that we all can live the best of our days as long as we can with our love ones and friends. God bless you always.

That is so hard to see people waste away with disease. And we miss them when they are gone, and our hearts ache for their family that remains.

That's very sad. I'm so sorry. My mother lived to 104 but gradually saw most of her friends pass away.

@marguicha i am glad you are. i have fibromyalgia - neck pain, spine too, knees, shoulder/elbow, type of aching i hate, then burning throat syndrome and and apparently a kidney autoiimune disease but i don't know anymore. i'm just trying to live day by day and not stress too much but i've noticed my body is better when days are warmer and sky is clear. and i'm not visiting doctors anymore; they drained my blood and my energy enough and are not that nice.
