49 days until spring. You can fool me. It was 11 degrees below zero F last night (-23.8 Celsius). Sorry I'm so late. I don't know how many days I've gone without sleeping; but I was exhausted. I kept falling asleep. The contractors came and finished most of the inside jobs. I now have new, beautiful fixtures in the hallway, a non-leaking kitchen sink, the rotted wood replaced under the sink with a nice Weathertec mat on top, insulation under the kitchen and Florida room and a new filter in the refrigerator. They couldn't do anything with the back door -- the copper wool will have to keep the mice out; and my furnace filters were in bad shape and couldn't be replaced. Cousin #3 won't be able to come tomorrow. Breakfast - PB&J sandwich Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Horrific chewy beef stew, Lima beans, carrots, biscuit, banana Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, low salt nuts Dinner - Turkey/vegan cheese sandwich, potato poppables, mixed fruit. What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Pixabay

You certainly had lots of work done, all necessary. Happy it’s done for you. I need sleep, too, but no time to nap. Last night we had clam chowder and a a sesame seed with chive cream cheese. Quick and simple.

@LindaOHio Forget it. Hubs came down with a cold, so had to cancel dinner reservations. At least he made me my Friday date night martini. He told me he washed his hands first.

@DianneN I'm so sorry your hubby is sick...and colds are awful. Do you have some Zicam in the house? I hope he feels better soon.

I ate a hot turkey and cheese sandwich and a fiber brownie for breakfast, and Pretty microwaved something from the freezer for my lunch and my dinner last night. Somebody from the garage took our car a little while ago to work on the electrical system. They think the alternator needs to be replaced so the battery stays charged. (They put a new battery in it two weeks ago.)

I’m glad to hear of all the improvements that did get done. And, I’m glad you got some sleep! Yesterday, I had balsamic chicken with sweet potatoes and Brussel sprouts, a sausage only McGriddle, and some chicken and dumpling soup.

The only part of your lunch that was good was the biscuit and banana. As you have figured out my husband and I eat weird things. Breakfast BLT and chocolate milk. Lunch .I wanted brownies so I made them and frosted them. We had brownies for lunch with orange juice. Dinner I went and got us a pepperoni pizza. For a snack we ate the rest of the brownies.

Glad to hear the contractors finished most of the jobs. I marinated two chicken patties then slcied them up and fired them with tater tots,

Oh no on that beef. Last night I made the good supper that you wouldn't eat- beet salad. I chopped oranges in it. If you were with us I would have made you something just for you.

The outside stuff --- replace the coach lights on either side of the front door, put a dusk to dawn light in the side fixture, install a Ring doorbell and find out why the post lamp always goes out when it rains too much.
