Okay, we're home and we did find some things out. 1st, I didn't break my nose when I fell a few weeks ago. 2nd, I don't have a concussion from when I fell and hit my head on my dresser three days ago. What they did discover from x-raying my head was that I have hydrocephalus. A buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain... The fluid gets into the folds of the brain and puts pressure where is shouldn't. MAYBE that's the reason I've been having balance issues for several years. I have a referral in to a neurologist. They are supposed to call me to set up an appointment next week. The way it was explained to us, the specialist will do a spinal tap in my lower back and draw off some of the spinal fluid. IF that helps, then they will be making an appointment to do surgery to put a shunt into my head, from there into my abdomen to allow some fluid to drain so there isn't another buildup of fluid in my brain. You all know as much as we do now.

Good and bad news. Guess you didn’t expect to hear you have hydrocephalus.

Yeah, I was expecting to hear I broke my nose and that I had a concussion from the fall a few days ago... Possible brain surgery is scary, though.

@DaddyEvil Is it possible you won’t have to do it?

@DaddyEvil It is a good thing you didn’t have a concussion or break your nose.

I think I had that happen to me once when I was 28 or 29. I j was just standing their talking to my friends and became wobbly and almost fell down. It was the only time I almost fell down. I have had always one eye pupil bigger than the other. i Have had that since 18 and doctors always trip, could be just deformed, some told me they always said it is how we look for strokes that could happen in future. Anyway, I glad they know the problem for you. I hope all goes well.

Wow. know what that is, but it's usually diagnosed a lot earlier in life.

At least now you know what you're dealing with but im sure not news you wanted to hear. It does sound like there is a solution but im sure you'll get more of an idea when you see the neurologist.

Open mouth over here. You are overloaded with terrible health news. Your ability to keep on screaming amazes me. Take care and know that I am here if there is anything I could do.......

I’m glad you found all that out! It’s definitely not something you wanted, but it’s good you know. Did I miss a post where something happened and you decided you needed to go?

That's terrible news. My mom's cousin had hydrocephalus when he was a baby. HIs did grow up to have intellectual disabilities. I wonder how you got it. It really does need immediate attention.
