27 days until spring. It's all an illusion because:
There is a winter storm watch for this area from Sunday until Tuesday and there is a blizzard warning for parts of the east coast.
Cousin #3 and her family came over for pizza last night. It was good to see everyone; and the food was good.
The Closing Ceremony for the Olympics will be Sunday at 2:30 PM EST.
The State of the Union Address will be at 9 PM EST on Tuesday.
Cologuard has come out with a new blood test, CancerGuard. So far insurance doesn't cover it; and it's around $700. I'm thinking about getting it done.
Breakfast - Granola bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed shells, succotash, spinach, garlic bread
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, 70% Dark Chocolate
Dinner - Pizza Hut Pizza, chocolate chip cookie bar
What did you eat yesterday?

Yes, I wrote a post about Cancerguard! I’d be very interested in it myself. Especially since it tests for hard to detect cancers like pancreatic and ovarian. Often when diagnosed it’s too late to do anything. I’m glad you mentioned it.
Yesterday, I had macaroni and cheese pizza, and chicken and noodle soup.

@LindaOHio I do not remember seeing it either. Hmm. Now I will go look. I looked, it was just a few days ago. You did respond to it.

Yay, you were able to have your pizza night. I'm glad you had some company, and the pizza you were wanting.

It was good; and I ordered a big chocolate chip cookie bar that we shared.

I’m sure it was a very welcome change for you. I imagine the pizza and giant cookie were enjoyed by everyone.

@LadyDuck Ours doesn't. I paid with a credit card. I will have the phlebotomist come directly to my home.

I ate a burrito with chunky salsa for breakfast, had an ice cream cone and a slice of all-meat pizza for late lunch and had two Fun sized Milky Way bars and two bananas for supper.

Thank goodness we are on the downside of winter. You can also schedule the test on your own. I went to the website yesterday to check it out.

Your meals sound good.
I was about to ask Alexa what time the closing ceremony is. At least I will be home from church in time to see it.
I finished the chili casserole. Today, I had steak with sauteed mushrooms and onions and rice.

It sounds like you had a good time with family. I will look for Amber's post. We had Little Caesar's pizza for lunch, and I had it again for supper. Bob thinks the small slice of toffee apple pie plus coffee was enough for him, but I ate my pizza, again.

If you go to the Keys, take a lot of pix! Would you go to the Everglades too? You'll see gators and maybe a manatee.

@LindaOHio I wonder who will help him write it? Or could he just say the same things he's been saying?

There is supposed to be a boycott on watching it; but I MUST hear him speak. It could be highly entertaining.

I am bummed that I couldn’t watch the Olympics this year because I don’t have NBC on my spectrum package. Glad you finally had the pizza night.
It was my mom’s birthday today and my brother took us to a Greek restaurant in Manhattan. My mom’s brother and his wife were there as well. It was a good time.

We actually rescheduled Pizza Night from Saturday to Sunday because I had a gallery reception. There were snacks at the reception, but I kept forgetting to get any (too busy talking to people), so I grabbed McDonald's on the way home.
I would recommend *not* taking any at-home tests. I had asked my doc about taking the Cologard test, which was covered by my insurance, and she explained that the test would be covered 100% as a screening test, BUT if there was a bad result, I would need a full colonoscopy to see what was wrong, and that would NOT be covered 100% because at that point, it would be a diagnostic test instead of a screening test (and of course, it is much, much more expensive). So it was better to get the full colonoscopy instead - it was fully covered, and they did discover a couple of very small polyps that they then removed.
So no, I don't think you should spend $700 on a test that might end up requiring a follow-up test, anyway, and it might end up costing a lot more.

There is no way I'm going to get another colonoscopy if I can avoid it. I get so sick from the prep. As far as the Cancerguard test goes, I might get it anyway.

If it's got a high accuracy rate insurance should cover it.
