Walking Again

At the Rhine river which is only 10 minutes walk from where I live.
It was 17C today and I had a chance to walk earlier than my best friend as she had still something to do at home.
The river was in high tide but nevertheless I enjoyed walking and watching the cargo ships that passed through the river either going to the Netherlands or going to some ports in Germany.
While waiting for my friend to come, I enjoyed sunbathing. Gladfully I brought my sunglasses with me. I counted the ships that passed by. They were at least 20 and 6 water skaters passed by.
It was a lovely day. My friend and I talked a lot while walking and we laughed a lot too that my stomach hurts. We waited the sunset (photo) before we went back home.
Anyway it was great. I wonder if the weather stays warm this week. How about yours? Was it sunny and warm where you are?

Wow 17C in February is quite good for Germany isn't it?

We had 11C here today which is good for us and it was the same the day before.

Yes, it’s good. Today it even reached 19C.

It is mostly cloudy but warm-ish where I live but my daughter and I went shopping today. We walked around two stores finding everything we wanted before coming home again.

@thelme55 It is storming again here. It's supposed to rain or storm every day for the next week. It is 3C right now.
I only do laundry about once a month. Pretty does her own laundry.
I have another doctor appointment early tomorrow morning.

@DianneN Yes. I attended the wedding of my cousin who is now living in Ireland. The wedding was like a happy family reunion. My siblings were all there. Grace is mostly my companion walking and traveling for a short weekend in some places in Europe. Next August, we will go to Italy.

Oh, Thelma. That sounds like such a wonderful day and time with your friend. And a lovely picture.
It's not really warm but it's better than it was here. It's 36 degrees. It snowed in the night but it's mostly melted now. Sun isn't shining right now. Maybe tomorrow!

it is warm too and i enjoy sunny days just, i wish i didn't cough for 2 weeks. it's killing me and i had antibiotics already. i am glad you met with your friend

Last November until the end of December, I was coughing a lot. I went to the doctor and she prescribed me cough syrup to take. I thought my asthma was back again because of the feeling I got. I didn’t only take medicine from the doctor, I-was also making turmeric and ginger root teas. Drunk them often times in a day. It helped me a lot.

@thelme55 i like drinking ginger tea, i have it at home and i shall drink it. you have asthma? i have a mild allergies in spring but whenever i get a cold, my lungs are always attacked in a way and i have a dry cough. i took antibiotics twice in 3,5 weeks, cough syrup too, pastille and it's getting better but cough is still there and i lose my breathe when i do something physical; from walking to cleaning. thank you for your good advices and i am glad you are good now

That sounds like perfect weather for a walk! I miss walking by the river. I grew up in a city with a river and moved to one with TWO major rivers (Philadelphia, PA), but where I live now doesn't have one, and I miss the water.

Yes, it was a perfect weather for a walk @AliCanary. There were lots of people walking along the river. We have waited until the sun set and so I was able to take photos and videos of the sunset. Thank you.

Sunny day here and a break from chilly temps. Nothing like a walk to reflect and relax. I always enjoy the sights I see when I take a walk. Sounds like you really enjoyed the scenery and your time in nature.

@thelme55 It's really a devine scene.
I walk to a jungle five kms from our place early in the morning, wander there for about an hour and then leave for home. Five kms up and then as many kms down. Total ten kms.
