5 days until spring. It's 68F today; and Tuesday night it will be 20F. Nutty weather.
The reason I'm so late today is that I didn't have any heat from last night until about 11 am today. The batteries needed to be changed again in the thermostat; and I couldn't figure out how to open it up. Cousin #3's husband came this morning, showed me how to open it up and changed the batteries. I have heat! I was shivering by the time he came this morning.
My results from the Cancerguard test came back. All were negative!!! Yay!
Cousin #2's cousin has been using a walker because she's so weak; but she's going to some sort of event today. You can't tell her anything. She's so stubborn.
Breakfast - Granola bar
Lunch - Chicken and rice, yogurt
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie
Dinner - PB&J sandwich, sweet potato chips, yogurt
What did you eat yesterday?

I'm glad you got the batteries changed again. I'd be chilly at 63F if I wasn't doing anything, too.
It's 63F outside right now and raining. (It was storming earlier. Perfect sleeping weather!) The forecast is showing possibly snow again overnight when the temp drops to 15F. We have 20 mph winds with gusts up to 30 mph.
Whatever was doing the high pitched whistle when the wind really blew has finally stopped. And our trash can is standing upright again. I guess the neighbor went out and did that.
I ate a chicken sandwich for breakfast yesterday and then made diced smoked turkey and red onions with noodles and a cheese sauce for our dinner last night. There's still a large bowl of it in the fridge. (I'm only supposed to be eating chicken right now but couldn't resist the smell of the turkey and onions while I was frying them.

We're supposed to get gale force winds again tomorrow. I can't remember ANY year when we've had so much wind.
Why are you supposed to eat just chicken?

@LindaOHio My kidneys are acting up again. I had to eat nothing but chicken a couple of years ago, too.

@LindaOHio It's good to learn so we can do it on our own next time and I have no doubt you would be able to. I'm sure you had a good teacher.

It does seem like not much time has passed since that happened and someone had to come and change the batteries. I don't think they are supposed to wear down that quickly? I have to wonder if it's the batteries, or is there something wrong with the thermostat? At any rate, I am so glad it's running again. A girl has to have a warm spot in the winter!
Good news on the CancerGuard test.

I know you know this, but over the years I have used youtube for a LOT of fixes. Even how to change batteries in something. If you ever get stuck and it's something like this, it could be worth while to look it up.

Chicken & cheese-stuffed baked potato! They gave me enough chicken for dinner, which I had with rice. Apples and applesauce and pears!

I'm hungry right now (6:15 am); and I have to wait until 11-12 for Meals on Wheels. Maybe I'll have a granola bar. I'm out of PB&J sandwiches.

First of all, congrats on the tests, and I'm so happy for you. However, since I too keep being all right it just means that the two of us get to boggle along alone for many more years in life, Let us hope their loving spirits keep us in sight, My usuals include tater tots and smoked sausages.

Yes, you're right. Of course I could always have a heart attack because I'm overweight; but I probably won't die of cancer. I'm also going to get the Shield blood test for colon cancer. I think that's covered by insurance. I also need to return my Cologuard kit.
