Let me introduce you to Jensen

We have now moved into our nephew’s home for ten days. It’s a lovely house and it will be like a holiday for us. Basically, the one and only job is to look after Jensen, the greyhound. Isn’t he handsome? We’ve already made friends and tomorrow we’ll take him for a walk. We must ALWAYS use his lead as, if he is let loose, he just takes off for parts unknown and doesn’t come back easily. He walks really well on the lead so we’re fine with that. We don’t have to do much feeding either. He helps himself from a big bowl of kibble but gets a treat after dinner and a chicken neck after his morning walk. Sounds easy enough. We’re keeping our fingers crossed. My first photo of Jensen. I'm sure they'll be more in days to come.

He's very handsome, I haven't been around grayhounds so I'm curious what his personality will be like. Hopefully he won't be like most of the Shepherds tend to be, Roscoe can be willful and independent making it really hard to get him to come when I call him, it's probably more because I am not a professional dog trainer.

He is very friendly and no trouble at all but off the lead he just 'goes' - and goes anywhere. I guess it's a hunting instinct.

Jensen has beautiful colouring, an adorable looking dog. He looks a little down, is he missing his own people? He will change his tune once he discovers how much fun you and Vince will bring to him.

Greyhounds are great couch-potatoes but probably he is missing his people. When they were stacking cases in the passage, he was getting in the middle of them all, probably hoping they'd pack him in the car too. A walk in on the agenda for tomorrow so he'll enjoy that.

Jensen is really handsome. Those dogs are very fast, better to use his lead, he surely would love to run and fake not to hear that you are calling him. He seems to be a good boy.

Sounds like a well trained boy! From far, he resembles some of the dogs we see in India but probably a bit bigger. I hope he does not gets too aggressive.
