My sister is in hospital

My sister is in hospital about an hour away from us. They are not too sure what is wrong. She is dizzy and nauseous and feels very weak. They are running lots of tests to try to get some answers. She is 88 and we share a birthday along with our deceased brother (her twin).
I asked her what the food was like. She immediately went into rave mode. The first night she’d had a huge lamb shank with vegetables. When I was growing up shanks were boiled to make stock for soup. The shanks were then fed to the dogs. Now, they’re touted as a gourmet meal. I guess it’s all in how they were cooked.
The photo is of a decadent dessert we had once. If I've put it up before, that just shows what an impression it made on me.

I hope the doctors can figure out what is wrong with your sister and can treat it effectively.
I'm glad they're feeding her well, at least. The last time I was in the hospital, I only got clear soups and I was hungry all the time. I couldn't wait to go home and fix real food. (I was in the hospital for three days because of an allergic reaction. They were afraid the allergy was food related.)

@JudyEv I hope you're just going in for tests so you won't be there long enough to have to eat hospital food.

@JudyEv Your very welcome, I know how bad things can be & get
& feel at the same time, I've had my fair share of sickness with my
health & have seen others struggle with there's as well, so we all
need prayers & to know some 1 cares enough to pray for them.

If she’s enjoying her food, that’s a good sign.
That’s a dreamy delicious decadent dessert, if ever I saw one!

@JudyEv Cheer up, Judy. You can still eat the dessert, just a smaller portion. I think age takes away the appetite but hopefully not the enjoyment. Anyone reading this would think you’re nearly 80!

@JudyEv — it’s the least I can do. How are things progressing with her tests and diagnosis?

Lamb shanks are getting popular here now. We have them sometimes cooked in the slow cooker. I really like them.
The ones you buy in there shops generally have mint in the gravy ….i don’t like that on meat ….i like the lamb to taste like lamb ….
I hope that they can find out what’s wrong with your sister ….my Mom is 88 next month and her health is a great concern of mine…..

Bad choice on my part.
She was on a high about how yummy the meal was. You could hear the change in her voice when I asked her about her meal.
