Yes, I was MIA again. I managed to fall asleep for a couple of hours yesterday after cousin #3 left. We packed up a large garbage bag of my husband's clothes and a box of household items for donation. We will continue with this the next time she comes over.
J will be coming today to do her usual. Maybe we will bag up more of my husband's clothes or go through a couple of boxes. They are having another shredding event in October; so I am having one of the ladies pull old files for the shredding box.
I have someone coming on Wednesday to give me an estimate on the tree pruning and removal.
My shoulders are killing me. I want to put off seeing a doctor for them as long as possible. I don't want shots or replacement....and physical therapy is not an option.
4/18/26
Breakfast - Granola bar
Lunch - Turkey/vegan cheese sandwich, veggie straws, yogurt
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie
Dinner - PB&J sandwich, potato poppables, yogurt
4/19/26
Breakfast - Granola bar
Lunch - Chicken strips, broccoli, tater tots, yogurt
Dessert/Snack - Brownie
Dinner - PB&J sandwich, veggie straws, yogurt
What did you eat yesterday?

Sounds like a productive time. Sorry about your shoulders though. I still have pain in my shoulder, and am putting off about it too...I can't afford to have it surgically fixed (money wise, or to take the time to recover). Hope yours can feel better, somehow

I cleaned out my closet not long ago and put all the clothes that no longer fits or I won’t wear into garbage bags and moved them to the garage. Now I think I have to look through them again and then donate everything that’s a definite no.
My mom still has plenty of my dad’s stuff that he never got to wear. She wanted to try and sell it but I’m of no help. I did help her put one Armani exchange t-shirt on poshmark but no one wanted it. And it was a nice t-shirt.

@LindaOHio Hard to get rid of stuff, especially if you’re attached to something.

@lovebuglena Most everything is OK to donate. I have a couple of boxes of curio cabinet items that will be hard to sell.

@LindaOHio -- had my bloodwork drawn today for my doctor's appointment next week. The weather is looking iffy next week, and I might not get to escape the Derby next week.

@FourWalls I need to get labs done before my appointment in 3 weeks. Oh no! You will have to put up with all the Derby traffic.

I hope your shoulders feel better soon.
I ate raspberries for breakfast along with an egg sandwich, ate some pasta with hamburger for lunch and had ripe strawberries for supper a little while ago.

The shoulders are quite a concern. They grind, pop and snap and hurt like hell.

@DaddyEvil I know; but I won't be seeing a doctor about them. I don't want shots or surgery; and PT will just make it worse

Seems like many of us are going through our clothes and bagging up stuff for donation. As I go through stuff I can't believe how much I've held onto all these years. Hope you can get stuff bagged up for donation with the help of cousin #3 and J.,
I hope the estimate on Wednesday is reasonable for the tree pruning, etc.
Sorry to hear about your shoulders but I can understand your reluctance about going to the doctor.
Yesterday we had Applebees steak dinners. I found a gift card I forgot I had so not only was our dinners delicious they were basically free with a little bit left over on the gift card.

I'm sorry about your shoulder pain. It sounds like good progress is being made in your house. Last night I made instant mashed spuds- put nutritional yeast in for a boost. And scrambled eggs with Greek yogurt and cauli with broccoli. Ice cream sandwich.

Your dinner sounds good. I'm just going to have to bear the pain. I have some good pain pills that the doctor gave me for when it's really bad.

I understand the surgery reluctance, but why are you hesitant about shots? I’ve had those shots in my back and neck and they do help for a good amount of time. Is it just the whole process?
Yesterday, I had a piece of sausage, an English muffin with strawberry jam, two tacos, a chicken sandwich with tomatoes and mozzarella, and some strawberries.

Sounds like you’ve been getting a lot done, even if it’s exhausting. Sorting through your husband’s things can’t be easy either… that’s a lot physically and emotionally.
Are your shoulders hurting more because of all the lifting and sorting, or has it been going on for a while?

My son has had both shoulders/rotator cuffs replaced. After the wreck, and after his arm surgery healed, they had to re-do the rotator cuff on that arm because it tore in the wreck. It was forever healing...and he had those shots and says they really helped. He also did some therapy to regain motion, it helped, too. I do know it can be arranged to have the PT in your home if you can't get out. That could be an option for you, you don't want to lose more mobility. Heck, you HAVE to type, or you wouldn't be here on mylot!!

I’m glad. I hate relying on pain medication, but I know sometimes it’s very necessary.
