I took this photo at our older son’s new house where both grandpas are having a conversation in the family room.
The ice princess works out at gym called Solid Core in New Jersey and loves it.
She wants to continue when she goes to Tulane University, but there’s no location in New Orleans.
So, she called corporate headquarters and told them how much she loves their gym and asked if they’d consider opening one near her campus. She received a verbal consent and a follow-up letter stating they definitely will open close to campus and it should be ready by August.
Imagine that! Btw, Solid Core operates over 160 studios in the USA. So what’s one more?

Depends if its cost effective and worth it.

@DianneN I just think about the number of successful chains that have closed their doors because the cost wasn't worth it because the demand wasn't there. Hopefully this won't end up like that.

@kaylachan You’re right. I know of quite a few that have closed, too.
I know the university has gyms, but if my granddaughter likes this one, then she will use it. I hope lots of the kids will use it so it remains opened at least for the 4 years she’ll be there.

Just now
She certainly influenced that gym.
Being in advanced placement and honors classes throughout high school, she managed to go to the gym every other day, play tennis, teach figure skating classes, babysit, and go out with her friends while maintaining straight As and A+ grades. I think she’ll be fine in college.
I found college much easier than high school because the classes were either 2 or 3 times per week.

Nice to know that your ice princess will have a gym near the Tulane campus soon.
