Bye-Bye April

Happy Thursday Everyone! morning started off with light rain and some pretty chilly temperatures. Sun is supposed to come out by afternoon but I don't think it's going to get much warmer.
May arrives tomorrow and it's my uncles birthday, He will be 92 (I think) but is still active, drives and goes to the gym 2x a week. I'm embarrassed to say he's more active than I am.
May also brings the busy month in our family. More birthdays, Mothers Day, and the 1st wedding anniversary for my grandson and his bride.
Meanwhile, today is just a relaxing day for me. Yesterday was busy so I'm happy to not have much to do today.
I'm in the middle of a good book, behind on so many of my favorite tv shows and of course I have crocheting projects to work on.
I'll be popping on and off here as the day goes on and hope everyone is having a good day,

Your uncle sounds amazing. Good for him that he keeps moving and living his best life!
It’s been very cool here all week. Definitely hoodie/jacket weather. That’s fine with me! I am dreading those 90-100 plus days to come. The best thing about the weather here,is that we have not run the AC or the heat for weeks. With the hot weather coming I am dreading having to run the AC just to survive it.
Today there are i appointments and nothing I have to take the son to. It’s an at home day and we actually got some sleep!! So wonderful!! I hope you have a great relaxing day, Marilyn!

I'm sure you're happy to have a day at home without any appointments.
How lucky that you haven't had to turn on the heat or a/c yet. Not me

Oh, Marilyn...honestly we have had some very cold nights. But the rates have shot up so high...I wanted a period of time that we didn't run either. It's usually only cold at night. We have electric blankets if needed. And if it's cold enough, we have warm PJ's, etc. I am sure there will come a time soon that the heat will hit and it will be unbearable. I am not looking forward to that at all, with the son here, I know the AC will be on at least some of the time.

My uncle really is amazing. I think he might even be older than 92. Would you believe he and my aunt are still going strong and just became great grandparents. My aunt is nearing 90, still drive, does her own grocery shopping, house cleaning, etc. I'm almost ashamed to admit they put me to shame.

@Marilynda1225 They have really been blessed with good health, both physical as well as mental.
Alzheimers got my mother before she was even my age, I think of that occasionally, and it just brings tears to my eyes that days and times that I take for granted, she did not experience due to that illness and the severe personality changes it brought about to her.
I wonder if the twins being born later in our lives than my parent's grands were, has helped keep me active. Those little girls ask alot of questions, and you cannot get away with answering because and nothing else.

I just finished a really good book before I came to myLot today. (The Martian by Andy Weir) I've just loaded a new ebook on my phone that I'll start reading after while.
I made chicken salad for sandwiches this morning and put it in the fridge to chill and marinate for lunch today. Pretty won't eat it so I made enough for me to eat three or four meals and it will all be gone. 
It was chilly outside last night so I turned the heat up in the house this morning. We had dropped to 68F, which is nice for me but Pretty thinks it's cold. (I asked if she was chilly this morning and she said she was.
)
We have three doctor appointments this month (Two of them are mine.) but I don't think we have anything else happening here.
myLot is the only thing I'm doing this morning before I go back to sleep.

Glad you enjoyed your book. I'm still working my way through mine and even though it's good I'm finding it hard to squeeze in reading time. I guess I need better time management

My day is good. It is cool but sunny. The second IRS number I called finally allowed me to just get on and hold. So I have "elevator music" playing beside me, and sunshine out the front window. Bob is reading. We had a good breakfast.

May is always a busy month for us.
I really would enjoy seeing 25 Words or Less.. I'm still mad that they took it off our local channel.
But I do enjoy The Floor with Rob Lowe (it's on prime time at night) and the 1% Club with Joel McHale (also on prime time at night)
