Last Night Was Crazy

I was assured that if I worked the holding room it would be much easier than last year. It was not. Add to the fact that my voice was affected by the end (?) of my cold, and my voice had no authority. I ended up recruiting two young men to be my voice, one for each room that had contestants. I’m not doing that next year. Both rooms said they had no idea what was going on outside, so at least we kept it fairly quiet, but the stress of possibly ticking my sister off and it going very wrong was too much. Next year, I’m either not doing a Friday night or I’ll judge something. This morning, which will be much easier on me. I triple checked the rules, and am ready to go. This is much easier because other people will manage the crowds. Last year, it went fine. Once again, I’m judging some relatives, but I don’t let that influence me. I don’t particularly like nepotism, so I wouldn’t do it myself. I slept pretty well last night. I think Amyra kept me on my toes last night. She was a runner. I love her, and you know I do. However, she was not helpful. I don’t care because it was time with her I got, but I could have used the help. She’ll be competing today. Hopefully, I’ll see her afterwards. What’s up with you today?
