The Cruise from Hell

Well I guess its safe to say that il be removing "going on a cruise" off my bucket list. This is the second time a cruise ship is stranded in the sea with a deadly virus on board that already claimed three lives so far. I cant even begin to imagine what it would feel like to be in the middle of the ocean stranded while every port around is denying you access until they can contain the deadly hantavirus. I pray they all make it off that ship safely without causing another pandemic.

I have never wanted to go on a cruise and this stuff makes me feel I made a smart choice. A day cruise wouldn't be bad. But not those trip ones

Agreed, I've done the single day dinner on a cruise but to be in the middle of the ocean with no way to get off gives me a bit of anxiety

@BACONSTRIPSXXX I just think of them as incubators for every disease I don't want to catch.

Cruses have been basically petri dishes for years now, and it's only gotten worse. In the last few years, pretty much everyone I know that has gone on a cruise comes home sick. Covid, norovirus, whatever...it doesn't seem to matter which cruise line they are on, I've heard them mention Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Disney...doesn't seem to matter. I heard on the news that the people on that cruise ship are going to be on there for weeks. And, they have to stay in their rooms all the time. Ugh...not pleasant at all.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX The news about this today was downright scary. There appears to be a scattering of people that were on that ship that are now home...in several different countries. Very, very concerning.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX I don't get the appeal of a cruise anyway. I wouldn't be able to use my motorbike. It's not a good swimmer

Contagion of various things aboard cruise ships put me off the idea quite a few years ago, and it is just getting worse.

So scary isn't it? However, thousands of not millions of people cruise every year. This is an isolated incident. However, I do know someone who got ecoli from a cruiseship..and normal antibiotics wouldn't knock it. She ended up having to take some 3.000 per pill pill stuff? (She can afford it) but can you imagine?

They all certainly need prayers. I cannot believe that Hollywood hasn't yet made a movie called The Cruise from Hell,

It is pretty scary and sounds more like a horror movie than what's happening in real life. My daughter and son in law are going on a cruise in June and I'm worried about it.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX yes, it seems as if getting sick on a cruise is common but I don't think a virus with the potential to cause a pandemic is common, I certainly hope those people on that ship are okay.

I do hope that the problem on that cruise ship can be resolved soon. I was thinking about taking a cruise ship ride as part of my bucket list. That has changed now.
