We had Spam, Eggs and Egg soup for our dinner. For those who do not know, we didn't have power for almost four days (Thursday to Sunday). By Saturday we went to the condo in another city to stay there for a while. I asked hubby's nephew to keep our frozen meats on their freezer. Thankfully that they don't have much inside their freezer because they haven't do grocery yet. I will be collecting the meats tomorrow so I can cook. For now, this will be our dinner.

That seems like a good dinner already. I think that will do for now since you’re not in your real home. Just treat it as your staycation spot, where the food is different from a real home-cooked meal. ??

No, we just got home yesterday afternoon and I wasn't able to get the frozen meat yet from my hubby's nephew.

I actually enjoy eating breakfast for dinner, and probably serve up a meal like that at least once a week. Sorry to hear you lost power for 4 days. What caused the power outage?

The transformer exploded several times probably because it can't bear much more the capacity. They replaced it with a bigger capacity. Hopefully, no more power outage and explosion

Breakfast for dinner is sometimes exactly what the doctor ordered. In fact, last night that's what we did. We had scrambled eggs and toast.

I can't believe that you've been dealing with no power for all these days. Thankfully you are able to put your meat in the nephews freezer so you didn't lose all that good food.

I'm glad it all worked out. I don't like watsing food and that's a few days worth of food to be wasted. I'm glad we are back home

When the power was off for that long, people would have lost a lot of food from their fridges and freezers.

That's true. Good thing we have some relative nearby willing to adopt our food in their freezer

we are used to it since we grew up with it but it does not mean that it is okay to have no power for days
