I have not been around for several months as l have just returned from another world cruise. I left at the beginning of January & returned on 30th of April. I had the most fantastic time on board the Queen Mary 2 visiting all kinds of interesting countries around the world.
Just before l left our tumble dryer died but my wife said no leave it until you get back. So I ordered one last week & it was delivered this morning. The deliverymen arrived at 06:40 & phoned me to say they were outside my house. I looked at our camera & told him you are not outside my house & gave him advice where to find me.
I went outside & could see him quite a distance away but he saw me wave & drove to my house. They brought it in & took the old one away. My wife got up at 7AM & asked what time will they deliver. I told her you are too late its already here & is all working!

It seems ironic to like your post but l rather see it as an acknoledgement I have read it & l definitetly do not like what I read. I am so sorry to read about your falls & the injuries you have sustained. Roll on till you see the neurologist & I hope they are able to treat you sooner than later.
Do take care & it is great to see you here. I have been permanently banned from going up ladders after falling off 5 times the last time being the worst. It is so frustrating seeing something that needs sorting when you know perfectly well you could sort it yourself. Sometimes you have to adapt to how your body has changed into now & not think like a 20 year old.

@DaddyEvil She is so kind & clearly loves you. My daughter is the same with me. I took a tumble in the Nave of Rochester Cathedral falling flat on my back. The kids were terrified & ran to tell her. A little old lady tried to help me up before my daughter appeared. I never hurt myself that time just my pride!
All the best I will keep you in my thoughts. Roll on September!

@garymarsh6 Was there a tumble dryer on the Queen Mary? I’ve often wondered about how one washes one’s under linen while at sea.

Hi there nice to see you. Yes there are laundry rooms on most floors with four washing machines & Tumble dryers in each one which are free to use they also supply laundry sheets & two irons & ironing boards. It is quite a social space where you pick up lots of gossip on what is happening on around the ship. I call it gossip central.
Alternatively there are laundry facilities you can send a bag of laundry to be laundered & pressed it is returned 48 hours later beautifully ironed & on hangers. They do a stuff the bag for $54 of 15 items which l used several times especially for dress shirts when we were in the tropics. I managed to get 15 shirts in it each time. We also get 20% off as a status thing.

Welcome back!!! it's so nice to see you and hear that you had a fantastic world cruise.
The fact that you got your new dryer delivered so early is a miracle (in my book). I'm sure your wife will be happy now to be able to do the laundry

Hi there nice to see you. Yes there are quite a few stories to tell. It was great fun as there were some real exciting things we did that I had not done before like riding a waymo driverless car in San Francisco which l could not do last time. I know it was more expensive but the novelty element was amazing & fun.

That is quite a long journey!
I hope you did not feel sea sickness !
How much time did you used to get on stopovers to different countries?
Which all continents did you cover?
