Great Day

It was very comfortable outside today. I did wear a shirt dress with shorts under it. I seldom show my legs so a few people had to pick on me about that.
I got a type of coxcomb and some sun pations today. So I think I am done with flowers. I also got some watermelon plants. So I have all of the veggies I want. I will get the rest planted tomorrow. I already put the sun pations in a couple of hanging baskets.
We fixed the carport for that very bad George horse this afternoon. First he got in trouble for pulling my hair. And then he tried to pull hubbies shorts down.
. Yes that part was funny.
I went to hang one of the new baskets on the old clothesline pole and realized it had finally rotted off at the bottom. So tomorrow I need to move the trail camera that was on that post. I also need to find a new place to stretch my chain that I hung decorations on. I have a couple of ideas for that.
Tomorrow evening we are going to the Oorang Bang. That is LaRues festival. We entered the duck race. I also want to bid on a couple of things in the silent auction.
Hope you had a good day.

He is a very ornery horse
I know I was laughing about them getting rained out last year

I walked around Fort Moultrie, which is across the harbor from Fort Sumter. The fort nobody’s heard about.
It goes back to the Revolutionary War, and was used as recently as WW II for lookouts to guard the shores after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

@MarieCoyle — no, I skipped the market. My phone was alerting me to lightning in the area, and it was soooooooo stinking hot and humid, and that takes a toll the first time you experience it in the season.

That area is so rich in history...My daughter went to college there. My own roots go deep in South Carolina through my maternal grandmother, so I was always fascinated by the history there. Fort Moultrie has a very long history of guarding the Charleston Harbor.
Did you go to the old Downtown Market? I always enjoy watching the ladies make the sea grass baskets there.

Pretty went out and sprayed along the foundation under the kitchen and sprayed around the kitchen windows with ant spray. Hopefully that will stop them searching for food in the house. (Usually we spray once a year around the kitchen windows and along the foundation and we don't see ants again until the next spring.
)
Nothing else happened here.

We get ants at times. I just set ant bait traps when we see them. They take it back to the nest

@wolfgirl569 I don't mind the ants as long as they stay outside.

@DaddyEvil I do get aggravated when I go to repot a plant and have to wait for them to clear out

It was extremely hot here. The humidity in SC is terrible. We are und a heat advisory for the next few days.

Sounds like a good day. I have been wearing shorts lately as well. It is not cool here. I got a couple of pots at Dollar General. I have two plants that have to be repotted, and these will be fine.

@wolfgirl569 - My legs still look good, but I am so comfortable with leggings.
Oh my, poor George, may be he knows that your husband would not dare to hurt him.

I think my legs still look good. I just usually have them covered.
He wasn't thrilled with George. Hubby even tried pointing the drill at him. But that ornery horse has no fear.
