Hi, guys. I slept well last night after a night with no sleep whatsoever. I’m very thankful! Today is my moved doctor appointment, where hopefully, my goofy doctor calls my medicine in, finally. I heard rumors a new pain specialist was starting up soon, and you know I’ll be checking into that. Other than that, I don’t have anything going on. I just hope this doctor doesn’t make me wait hours again. He can be late, sure, but you better be there yourself on time! What are your plans?

I could sleep quite well from 2 am until 6 am, that was nice. Good luck not waiting forever, doctors are almost never punctual.

Off to the new pharmacy.I am going to have to get the presciription transferred I guess. I asked if the doctor would call it in over there, but I don't think he has. I am also going to Sharp Shopper my fave store, and to a dinner.

We have to be home today because our monthly medicines will arrive sometime today and we have to sign for them. We had to move them arriving from yesterday to today because of the all-day dental appointments yesterday. After the meds arrive, I'll call the garage and ask for a jumpstart on the car. We'll need to go grocery shopping tomorrow. Pretty has been cooking some stuff we'll both eat the last few days. There is a chicken lasagna in the fridge, some more of the lumache type noodles in a creamy cheese sauce and some pot roast. She just set some more sliced chicken down to thaw and a pack of the sliced beef to thaw for sandwiches. I don't know why she's setting so much food down. Are you planning on coming over to help us eat it?

These days, waiting in line for a doctor's appointment can be frustrating, especially with so many patients ahead of you. If your doctor is well and highly regarded, you can pretty much expect to be in line every time.

@AmbiePam It’s great that he was punctual this time. Doctors often have very busy schedules, as they not only see clinic patients but also care for patients who require special attention.

I am sorry that you did not sleep. My doctor failed to fax all of my meds over during my last appointment, or the pharmacy lost them. I am on my last day of pills for 1 of my scripts and I somehow have to find a way to call the doctor's office to have them fax the script over so that I can walk over and pick it up after work. Otherwise, the pharmacist will just give me an emergency refill for a month's time until the doctor's refill arrives and I can get my regular 3 month's supply.

I can totally understand about not getting sleep. That was my yesterday. I definitely suffer from insomnia. But I slept ok last night. Sometimes I wake up with a headache, though. Unfortunately, I did today, too. But I'm getting better. I have pain, too. I had an accident awhile ago and still having issues from my injuries. It's that and getting older. I turned 50 in January. I have back and knee pain. If you don't mind me asking, what's the particular reason you need a pain specialist? You can respond here &/or message me details Or not My plans today are to catch up on my freelancing stuff

I had a car accident when I was 18 when a man ran me off the road and flipped my car. I’ve had multiple surgeries on my back and neck, and as I’ve aged it’s gotten worse. Today they told me the insurance will pay for me to get a TENS machine, and I am so excited as I used to use one in physical therapy. Are you familiar with those? They are tiny machines attached to electrodes you place in the spots with the worst pain, and it sends electrical pulses to those spots for a timed period. I also am getting a neck stretcher the insurance says yes too. I’m hoping this will allow me to need less pain medication. If you are having trouble too, I hope you can think about seeing someone that specializes in pain. It’s not all about pain medicine, and it can really help your sleep. I hate to hear you have insomnia. That is absolutely miserable, and people who never experienced it just don’t understand.

@AmbiePam So sorry to hear about your accident. I had a slip and fall. I have a herniated disk in my back from the fall. My knee issues are from past sports injuries and acted up more so since the accident. I've been to pain specialist but all they want to do is give me meds &/or give me shots in my back and knees. So I stopped going. I never heard of a TENS machine. But I have something like that here at home. My Mom bought me the product. My nephew bought me something like that to wrap my knees in to pulse as a massage. I'm a neurodivergent. So I have other mental health issues, too. But I'm surviving.. Good to hear that your insurance is covering things that you need for your pain. My insurance is pretty good, too. I mostly do my physical therapy at home, though, because the co-pay does add up. My insurance covers gym fees, so I was going before the pandemic hit. I was going after for awhile, then the gym by me closed. So I'm in transition on going back soon. It's been over a year or so

I do hope that everything goes well at your appointment. I am working from home today. It's nice that I don't have to go into the office everyday. Other than work and spending some time with my family, I don't have much planned.
