Found out his name.

So a couple weeks ago, or was it more like a month or two? I talked about being at a potluck after church and a guy who always made a point to talk to me at church sat down by me at lunch and engaged in conversation. I finally found out his name, @traceyjayne . It’s Eric. He came over before church and told me he was thinking about trying the new Italian place down the street when it opened, and asked if I’d be interested in going sometime. I told him that would be nice. So, we’ll see how that goes.

Erik Estrada. It’s hard to believe he used to be a heartthrob.

@AmbiePam I's hard to believe he's still alive. Did you recognize the rest of them

How did you find out about his name? Did he finally introduced himself?

He introduced himself when he sat down by me at that lunch awhile ago, but I just hadn’t heard him. This time, I just asked someone.

@AmbiePam It's wonderful though that you are finally having a date. Are you excited?

@toniganzon No, not really. I mean he’s tons better than the other guys who have asked me out, but I’m always so tired it’s hard for me to get excited.

I hope it goes well for you. I always hated the whole dating thing prior to meeting my husband. I am socially awkward, so dating was almost a nightmare for me. I am also terrible at telling if someone is interested. I literally had a 70-year-old man hit on me at a church dinner one time and had no clue that's what he was doing. My husband was working, so he wasn't there with me. My son was there, however, and was like "I knew what he was doing, Mom, " and I was like Thanks for giving me a clue, kid. I didn't realize until he saw my ring and was like "Oh, I didn't realize you were married". I relied on online dating to meet people for this very reason. That said, in my defense, I don't know why a 70-year-old thought I'd be interested, but that has always been how my dating life went prior to my husband, assuming you are even looking for a date and not just a friendly hangout.

@AmbiePam That's what I said. I just thought he was being a nice old man when he sat down to talk to us. He was like, "I saw you looking my way, and I was looking your way, so I thought I'd come sit down and say hi." I had no clue what he was talking about. I didn't even know if he was talking to me or my son, but we both agreed we never even looked at him. He told me his greatest regret in life was, and I quote, "not getting to be a daddy" when asking about my son's age. I just chalked it up to him being nice, because he was old enough to be MY dad. I'd love to say this is the first time I've been hit on by an old man, but alas, I cannot.
