How often do you do online banking?

I deposited some gig money (cash) at an ATM machine the other day. I was pretty excited about that. I think I deposited $108.00. As we "local musicians" like to say, "There's tens of dollars out there to be made playing gigs!" You know we're joking around, right? Most of my banking is done online, I actually check online banking almost every day. If a deposit has been made into my checking account from Guitar Center or another source of income, I'll move some of the money into Savings (higher interest rate) or my small investment account, if it will help me buy a new CD (Certificate of Deposit). Those are yielding 4 percent right now, well above what most checking or savings accounts yield. I pay my credit card off a couple of days before it's due. How often do you do online banking? Are your strategies similar to mine? ,

I pretty much do all my banking online. It’s a requirement for Social Security checks to be directly deposited. What I do is, after I’ve paid my bills (all automatically or online), I’ll take the “odd amount” and put it in savings. For instance, if I had $1,234.56 after the bills were paid I’d put the $234.56 into savings. That way, I’d know my checking account was correct because it was an “even” number, plus I’d be saving money every month. And I like that Facebook meme about musicians: putting $1000 in equipment into a $500 car and spending $50 in gas to make $100. That’s a musician.

I don't usually deal in cash, unless it's from a music gig. Or stereo work done. The latter is pretty rare these days.

Just now
I don't do online banking. Pretty took over my accounts and is always doing something with them. I only know when she pays the electric and gas bills. My phone is still set up to notify me when those get paid. I do check PayPal once a month or so to see what has been deposited or credited there. (I still send a little money to friends in the Philippines once in a while.)

Too bad we can’t deposit cash online. If I need to deposit a check I prefer to go to the bank but I will say it is convenient to be able to deposit it, without getting up from your couch, via bank app.

I live across the street from my credit union and I've never gone in there other than to open the account. Online or nothing for me!

@TheHorse - True, Chase just closed the branch across the alley last year. We still have a Huntington on the corner, though.
