Take Me Out of the Oven! I'm Done Already!

Yeah, it's up above the mid 90s and my room is like an oven. I'm drinking lots of water. I won't be posting anything but this today. But as a review I will be posting about the guy who co-founded the Cicero Institute, about popcorn, my sudden idea about the Kool-Aid drinkers, and some things I didn't know about Micheal J. Fox. Stay tuned. I feel like I'm setting on the beach boiling in the sun.. The kids are downstairs enjoying the cooler temp.

Am I mistaken or didn't you tell us that your upstairs room just does not cool down well, that the a/c does not reach you? You need some way to cool off, you will make yourself sick.

The A/C does help but no matter how long I run it when I turn it off the heat is back immediately.

Are you not running your air conditioner to save money?

No matter how long I run it as soon as I turn it off the heat comes back immediately. I'm about ready to just run it constantly.

@celticeagle Girl, just keep it going. I know it hurts the wallet, but it’s not worth your misery if you can help it at all.

We had the hottest day of the year yesterday, tomorrow we expect rain and I really hope it's going to rain.

That sounds nice. I with it would rain here. What happened to days like when I was a young girl. It would heat up during the day and then in the evening we would have a cloud burst and it would cool things down.

I have to drink a lot of liquids during the day since the humidity outside enters into the house and it feels like an oven inside.

This year it seems it is extreme hot in many places. I hope the weather will not be so abnormal. Here there are often heavy rains everyday and therefore it is not so hot here. But it is also not good to have so much rains.

I was thinking in the late spring that I hope it wouldn't be worse than it was last year. It is.

That sounds unbearably hot. Please take it easy, stay cool, and keep drinking water. Looking forward to your posts when you feel better.

I can't climb up and down. I don't go down, and haven't for years, for reasons.

I have one in my room. I can run it for an hour and as soon as I turn it off I immediately feel the warmth come back.

It's been in the 90s daily for the past week or so. Is supposed to get up to 100 at some point this next week.

You bet heat rises. I hope you at least have a fan to circulate air. I get too hot at night when I go up to bed, too.

We have fans all over upstairs. And one of the stairs. It is at that stage of summer when it doesn't cool down at night. I hate that.

I'm sorry it's so hot in your room. Can you drape a wet towel around your neck? That might help.

what we did... having no air con or even fans... we'd wear damp clothes. We'd shower and not dry, and dress. We'd wash a shirt, wring it out.. and wear it. And we'd have wet handkerchiefs, wring and put on the back of our necks.
