Two swims in one day today?

That is my goal for today. I took a pretty long swim this afternoon, when the temperature was about 99 F. It has now cooled to about 89 F, and I am going to take another swim. It's good for my recovering knee. Photo is of the Judith Mountains in Montana after a rare late Summer snowfall.

Did you read about the temperatures in Montana Sunday? Miles City, 115 degrees, and Billings, 111 degrees. I just can't imagine. People there are simply not used to that. Heck, they used to moan and groan and sprawl out in front of a fan or two if it reached 80! Unbelievable.

I heard there was a heatwave there. But I hadn't realized they broke 110.

@LadyDuck Cool and breezy sounds great. It only hit 86 F here today, but I still took two swims. I'm really trying to get back in shape, and to help my knee get strong.

I'd stay in the pool most of the time if we had one here and it wasn't too far from the house. I hope you enjoyed your second swim of the day.

I rode my bike past a public pool this afternoon at 87 degrees. I was thinking "damn, that pool looks nice and inviting right now!"

when I lived in Hector's River at 8 am I would go to the cove and swim around until about 10, come back, eat, relax, then return just after 2 pm. So a double swim was normal for me

@TheHorse it was so beautiful in that cove... the water was calm, warm, and since I was there often, little fish would swim around me and give me like a fin bump.

I swam today too. It was hot today so I went out as the sun was starting to set. It is more comfortable on a hot day besides it is fairly quiet and not too peopley down at the lake then.

I am sure that you will achieve your goal. Swimming or any water resistant exercises are good for knees. It's cloudy and pleasant here. The sun tries to peep out of clouds every now and then.
