Wow! It only took two hours from the time we got to the hospital until they were
sick and tired
of Pretty, so sent her home again.
No polyps and no problems that they could find. She was loopy as all get out but came out of that really quickly. We walked home with no problems.
The only funny thing she did was keep waving at me once she was brought back to her room.
We're ready to go to sleep now so I'll talk to everybody later when I wake up.

Very true... I didn't remember a lot of things that happened when I had the first colonoscopy... Things get completely wiped from memory.

@crossbones27 Love you, too, bother. She says she feels fine. But she did the colonoscopy because she's been having trouble with her iron levels and potassium levels. The doctor wanted to make sure her guts were healthy before trying other tests. She's been hospitalized three times in the last year for low iron and potassium. She takes iron tablets now and the doctor told her to drink Pedialyte if she feels run down. She's been buying and drinking Pedialyte again lately.

@DaddyEvil Yes, it is easier to recover in the comfort of your own home.
I hope that you do not have any emergency that you require her help for before she's back to her usual self-so stay good DE!

Thank you. I'm still tired so will go back to sleep when I've caught up on myLot. She barely woke up when I asked if she wanted anything for supper.

@Juliaacv Yeah, I know. The nurse explained to both of us what the next few days will be like... I'm glad we're home for them.

Great that things went well. What does it mean “she was loopy”?

Thank you.
It means she was acting like she was drunk. She was funny.

@lovebuglena Yes, that's normal, depending on how much anesthesia was given to a person. When I had my colonoscopy, Pretty made fun of me for quite a while but they gave me more than they gave her or it was stronger. I wasn't thinking right for hours after my niece and Pretty came to take me home.

Thank you. And yes it does but we're both too tired right now to celebrate. I slept from about 11 am until 8 pm and am still sleepy so I'll go back to sleep when I catch up on myLot. I woke her up and asked if she wanted supper at 8 pm and she told me no and went back to sleep again.

@Wrexxo Thank you. I fell asleep after I caught up with myLot and just woke up. It is 4:30 am here. I'm normally awake all night.

So thankful she’s okay! The loopiness is normal. I normally wear sandals/flip flops around the house, but yesterday I stayed in sneakers because I was afraid of being too unstable on my feet after the propofol nap.

Thank you. She normally wears light slippers everywhere but wore sneakers today. (If the temp outside is above 50F, I wear sandals everywhere.)

Thank you. She was only loopy for about 15 minutes or half an hour. When I had my colonoscopy, I was loopy for hours.

Thank you. I didn't even get to have very much fun because the anesthesia wore off too fast! *sigh*

Thank you. So now the doctor will schedule different tests to see what is causing Pretty's problems.

True... Next is my neurologist appointment at the end of August and Pretty's dental appointment on the same day. (She'll get a medical taxi while I'll drive myself to the hospital to check in.)

@Shivram59 Her anesthesia only lasted about 15 minutes after they brought her back to her room and they let us leave not long after that.

Thank you. She was still "drunk" from the anesthetics they used on her. She didn't remember waving at me by the time we started home.

@Jehanne
I kept telling silly jokes when the anesthesia was wearing off for me. Pretty says they were jokes she hadn't heard before, at least.

@DaddyEvil reminds me of me.
But I didn't wave, it's the opposite. I keep tapping the bed while complaining it hurts. Only realized that when I was fully awake and I had to confirmed if did such thing.
