In the clubhouse at our retirement village, there is a small alcove which hasn’t been used for anything much. The area is being used at the moment to show-case the work of some of the talented people that we have in the village.
The pieces stay in place for a month and are featured in our newsletter. It’s a good use of the small space. I’ve put up photos before of woodwork items done by a resident.
The photo shows the work of two more of the residents. Both make soft toys and one is also a talented artist. Unfortunately, I only included part of one of the artworks.

I totally agree! Their skills are superb to produce a product like that in the photo.

Those are really cute stuffed animals. My favorite of those shown is the mouse. If it didn't cost an arm and a leg to send something from Australia to the US, I'd ask how much the artist wanted for it.

What a lovely idea for making use of that little alcove! It must be wonderful to have so many talented people in the village and to have a space where they can share their creativity with everyone else. I especially like the idea of changing the display every month - it gives people something new to look forward to.
The soft toys look like they must be beautifully made, and it’s lovely that one of the residents combines that talent with painting as well. What a shame that part of the artwork was cut off from the photo! I’d definitely be interested in seeing the whole piece. It sounds like there is a lot more creativity in your retirement village than meets the eye.
