Have you travelled this late summer in another country?

I have. I went to Milan, Italy with my 2 Filipina friends. It was only a 4 days visit and we had a blast exploring the city. Although our hotel with buffet breakfast was far from the city of Milan, we still enjoyed travelling with the train.
We have visited the beautiful Milan cathedral and Como Lago. My 2 friends were not fond of going to a museum and so I was not able to visit Leonardo da Vinci museum to see the Last Supper painting. What a pity! Maybe next time. I only have to go with my hubby.
My friends were over the moon though, visiting and eating atJollibee, a Filipino fast food restaurant which was not far from the cathedral. I am not a fan of Jollibee or McDonalds food but I just went with my friends and enjoyed the food at Jollibee. My friends even bought Jollibee food before our flight and brought it back to Germany. Their kids were very happy.

Yes, it was always a good choice to travel Italy @xFiacre. It was my second time in Milan but that was before the millennium. There are many changes nowadays. I have not been to Pisa, Luca and Viaregio but I have been to Firenze and Rome ages ago. I heard the summer was so hot in Italy. Thank you.

I always thought I'd enjoy going to Italy someday but I think my traveling days are over now. I only made it into Mexico to bring a friend back home years ago. (I've been invited to go visit vanny in India but always worried I'd be too hot. I don't handle heat very well. I was also invited to visit friends in the Philippines but never managed to do that, either.)
I sort of had a vacation from life here at home when I stayed in a hospital for five days... That was interesting but I was supposed to stay in bed for most of that. I still had fun teasing the nurses and the aides there.

I'm glad you had a nice trip to Milan even if you didn't get to see the Last Supper painting.
I haven't traveled anywhere this summer either out of the country or in the US. But, Milan is certainly a place I'd love to see

It sounds wonderful and that photo is amazing.
I haven't travelled abroad but I'm at my caravan now. The Mister takes his holidays in December / January so we may go away then.
