Move over Starbucks there is a new robber in town a rant!

So, I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I was looking for somewhere to have breakfast afterwards, and spied this coffeeshop in town that has all day breakfast. I was looking over their menu and noticed one of their coffee speciality drinks was 9.10!!! You have to be kidding me. What does it have in it, gold dust? That would be the day! I would drink tea all the day long, if that was how much a coffee cost. The other coffee drinks were high but not like that. I wonder how many of those they were selling? Unreal..have you seen any crazy coffee drink prices lately?

I’m just familiar with how crazy Starbucks prices are, and that’s mostly because of Mylotters (since I’ve never been to one). I can’t fathom paying that much for a drink unless I was in the desert at at a music festival in 110 F heat and and all they had was a $9 bottle of water.
Maybe curiosity does get some people, but I think that’s a bit nutty.

That’s insane. I never buy coffee out anywhere and haven’t for like 3 years. Have travel mug, it goes with me. A friend told me someone she knows paid nearly $10 recently at Starbucks for a “venti” coffee drink. No wonder so many of these places are closing.

That's why we go to McDonalds, it's cheap
People pay these daft prices and don't question it or themselves

I think it’s an experiment: “at what point will you stop paying our ridiculous prices for a cup of coffee.” It’s like that $1,000 sundae in Las Vegas…I guess they only “have” to sell one to break even 
but they’ll keep that price there because someone is paying it.
Plus, I don’t drink coffee (why do you think they threw me out of the Navy? 
), so I don’t even go to those places.

I don't frequent coffeeshops (like starbucks) but that does sound a wee bit pricey. But, I have nothing to go buy since I haven't paid for a fancy coffee in ages but it's possible that it's really average for a specialty one.

Nuts..luckily I brew 90 percent of my coffee at home, but these days that is not cheap either
