I’m trying to get that protein boost.

We all noticed in Canada our allergies were better, and we loved it. Boy, do I miss Prince Edward Island right now (for many reasons). I seem to be coming down from a vacation high, and the allergies have set in again. I’m relying heavily on a protein boost to get some energy because I’m just dragging. I also bought more Magnesium supplements as I finished my last bottle while on the cruise. I remember the last time my magnesium was really low I ended up in the ER. So, in case, that has anything to do with it, I’ve got that covered too. I have three doctor appointments to go to next week so I really need to perk up for that. Totally makes sense right, to feel good enough to go to the doctor? Anyone have a helpful way of getting that energy up? You know, without an actual energy drink?

That is good your allergies were better there, but sorry you're dealing with all that now. Energy? Just not spiking my insulin helps me lol

@AmbiePam Caffeine never worked for me lol. But when I don't have a lot of carbs, my sugar doesn't spike nor my insulin and then I don't crash

You know, I take one, but I noticed the other day it didn’t have things I thought it should. Maybe I should try a different one.

@AmbiePam It is worth checking. Maybe check your fiber too. That can affect the body.

I wish I did. I am going to try to ride my exercise bike more. My dragginess is possibly from weather or just feeling sorry for myself.

Either would be justified, but I know you can’t dwell on either.

My dad used to have hay fever and he did a stint on a Great Lakes Freighter. He said he never breathed so well, as when he was on that ship.

I have an interest in trying some kind of protein drink but haven't yet. Next Saturday I get to order my groceries and I will think about it,

I have tried a couple of Nutri protein drinks, but they are really too expensive to buy many of them.

you covered magnesium so, not sure, maybe zinc vitamins. i can suggest turmeric tea and green tea.. As John Roberts said , the air is number one good thing that your body misses. i'm sorry you're not feeling great. good luck with your appointments and i hope you'll feel better.

Hmmm, don't know about energy but I eat chicken and smoked salmon for my protiens and I don't seem to have any issues. I wish there were a cure for pulminary allergies but like with skin allergies there doesn't seem to be any.

I remember that I was a lot better when I was near the sea or the ocean. Here I get allergies. I would love to know how to boost my energy when I feel down.

Sorry. I have no idea what would help. Hopefully others will have some good ideas.

I was only as a kid, but I guess I should add some iron and see if that helps.

I’ve been looking at pictures, and really wishing I was at least back on the ship (with sea sickness patches on one of those days).
