I believe that the power of the internet could be used to drive down the fuel prices. We all have 2 friends who have 2 friends etc. What if we could organise a group of people who could take action against prices in various...

It's not my idea, although I've always believed it, but a talk show host I listen to often says that if we'd let mothers stay home and raise their children properly--be there for PTA, school functions, be there to provide...

rovermadman I'm actually English and when young travelled all around the wirld for 10 years. At the end of that I thought NZ was THE most beautiful country in the world and have lived here now for 35 years. The nickname for NZ is "godzone" or "godsown". Thanks for the...

rovermadman I think that this is a great "olden day" concept that we need to try to get back to but what we need toremember is that generations of old who lived with only one parent working were not as greedy for the luxuries in life and therefore could get by on one...

You know, one of the things I really hate is when people interfere in things that are absolutely none of their business. Take yesterday for example. I was at work as a checkout operator in the grocery store when I heard a young...

rovermadman Unfortunately, if that were to happen in NZ and many other pc correct countries in the world if you spanked your child you would be arrested and end up in court. What a wonderful, if sometimes stupid, world we live in.

rovermadman Well said although I think that we need to look at both sides affected by the tantrum. The otheer people in the shop may feel that they are entitled to shop in peace and therefore it has become their business also. Maybe mum could have taken the child out of...

rovermadman The thing that interests me about this site, like most forums is that all prejudices seem to disappear. The rich talk to the poor, different races, religions, sexes, all communicate well and seem to better understand each others views. Perhaps it's because we...

Every day, things happen that have no apparent 'rational' explanation! Take for example what happened to me on July 18, 1980 when I was 14 years old. At 4:40am I woke up with a sense of panic that there was something wrong...
