Dogs and cats have a developed sense of hearing, many times greater than ours. I can only imagine that a sudden crack of thunder would sound like an atomic bomb to their ears. Apart from them being more attuned to vibration and seeing the lightning, that alerts them that something is going to happen, they are also concerned about their masters' safety.

.................There are steps involved!!?? It has been 20 years since I last failed at writing an essay. I would spend most of the time staring at the paper, contemplating possible opening passages. Then I would give the longest explanation that I could about each aspect. It looks impressive and takes up word space. A thesaurus comes in really handy!!!!!
