Weekend craft sale: Very successful!

I am glad to hear that your most recent craft sale was a success. it is always nice to hear when things are going well for my fellow myLotters. I hope you get your stuff made soon and your next sale is even better.

It is because of the selling a lot and having to rush to make more that I am taking a break from the markets and concentrating on the fall and hoilday inventory so that when that time rolls around I will have more than enough stuff.

And I do think that you're right about people buying smaller
things to make thenselves feel better! I know that's what I
would do too! If I go into the dollar store and buy something
it makes me feel better so I would love to go to a craft sale
and shop for sure! I think that's a great way for you to make
money! I wish I was crafty!

Hotdog a roonie! Am so happy for you. I love to hear successful stories about craft fairs/shows. What was your biggest seller? I won't be doing any this summer unless it's indoors and not too expensive to get a booth. Some of the fairs want too much for a weekend or even a day. The heat here in the summer is a killer and I can't take it anymore. So it looks like I'm not doing anything with my crafts this spring and summer. I have big tears rolling down my face. Feeling sorry for me yet? lol

I have to start doing my crafts again. My hope is that hubby can take the items to a local flea market on the days I am working and set up the sale. Items that are well made and low priced do sell! I also plan on doing some baked goods. Who in their right mind wants to bake in the summertime? Me I guess! But, I believe that cookies and breads would sell pretty good.

Congratulations and Good Luck on your next one. Great for the gal next door, too. I guess when they mean smaller things they mean less expensive. Especially, if the items are on sale; not for sale. Where ever you go everyone is budgeting and are keeping their limits.

That is wonderful! It's always good new to hear of a success story like that. And it has to be gratifying to know people appreciate your work so much.

Good for you. I am glad you were able to pick up extra cash. I am looking forward to Garage Sales again this year. I always pick up used books even if they are cheap enough and I do not have much of an interest. We have a library here in my condo complex and I take them there or give them to my mom or another reading friend. Since my cable will be disconnected when this last payment runs out I will be doing more reading.

That's good to hear Jill. It's good to know folks are still out spending money. I am not spending much at all. I might go get me an outfit this month, which I haven't done in ages. I might visit a thrift store first to see if there is something there I want, and if not I will go to Target.
