Mow the lawn  

I would if my husband would not scream at the top of his lungs about my doing so. Since the kids were born I have not touched a lawn mower. When we moved from Chicago to Georgia we hired someone to do it for us. We have a rather large hill in our front yard that would be dangerous for me to try and cut with my ankle injury etc.

So a lawn service mows our lawn and takes care of our shurbs etc. now had he only hired one that looked like the lawn boy from Desperate Housewives (the first season) now that would have been nice, but no I have the overweight white guy cutting my grass and yes he takes his shirt off.

Hi Katsmeow, we have a very large lawn to mow here, but my SIL gets on the riding lawn mower and keeps it up every Saturday or Sunday. I think they call that tool a sithe... the stick with the blade at the bottom. I think most trailer parks have you keep up your own lawn... when we lived in one, we had to, and we had to weed-eat the place to so that there wouldn't be a place for snakes to hide.

We have found 3 snakes so far in our yard as my SIL mows. He killed one, and I got so upset.. the other two he just moved with a shovel to the bottom end of the property. He was afraid they might try to eat our chihuahua... I doubt there's any snakes that big here.

I hire mine done and that's the way I like it....ah huh....I am older but not that old but still in all have problems with my knees...so my neighbor does it with his grandson. He charges me a nominal fee and in return he mows both our yards at the same time so they both look good....that is a pay off for him who is very fussy about his yard!

we used to mow before. i cant forget it because we do have our own grasscutter. i dont know what happen to that. hehehe.. we dont have much grassess, its all flowers around the house..

My nephew mows mine. I can't do as much as I used to, so I hired him to come do it for me every week. My yard isn't all that big, but the back yard is like running an obstacle course because I have plots here and there with vegetables growing in them, along with flowers.

we started mowing lawn recently.it is a must.first time we mowed from outside services.but then bought one mower and started mowing.first time is very tough.knowing all the things about mowing and edging takes lot of time and practice.atlast second time it was a bit easy.but came to know that the trimmer is not that good.but i guess it takes time to get used to it also.anyway best of luck.

i never have to mow the lawn because my house doesn't have any garden... it is just a small backyard... and we couldn't be bothered to mow it since me and my hubby just don't have much time... both of us are working full time and already feel very tired by the time we reached home... so we just leave our backyard as it is... take care and have a nice day...

Actually he just does it. We have a gas powered mower...

My husband takes care of the lawn, edging and shrubs, which he really enjoys, while I take care of the flowerbeds. He has a riding mower now because we have a larger yard and it gets pretty hot down here in Florida. My youngest daughter used to help him from time to time but he really prefers doing it himself. He says it's relaxing.

you can get a manual mower pretty cheap - take a look on craigslist. my son is now old enough to mow ours but i used to enjoy it. we have a small gas mower
