Hmmm, so you don't have a problem with people promoting the websites of others, but if somehow wrong for me to promote my own?

Teddy I was responding to something in my box and had seen your discussion about a discussion being deleted and was explaining it to you. No one is allowed to spam on here if you weren't aware and as I don't spend my time in the money making interest I'm clueless as to what websites you or others promote. Seems a bit silly to send me a link (which you must know I don't open) when I've already said we don't do cards in Greece. I thought the usual accepted way to spam was to do it in pms if you don't expect them to be deleted.

Every time we post a link we support someone's website. I doubt that's what is meant in the TOS.

I can't see why you are arguing over this one Teddy. Posting links to spam for buisness is against the rules simple. In my view all other links should also be left out but then the politics section would be a bit empty as you need them to prop up the arguments there. Posting a link within a discussion to interest people in your business is spam, end of. You may well be able to do it in the make money section and would suggest you try there but I for one think it is sneaky to lure people into a discusson about mail and then thrust links promoting something in their faces when they are irrelevant, particularly so when I've made the comment that we don't use Greeting cards in Greece. As I said stick to pms like the other spammers.

In fact I only finally deleted one spammer who's been there as a pending F/R yesterday for the first time in months. He had a post count of around 250 but over 3000 friends here, so all you need to do is trawl all sorts of discussions requesting every person as a friend, 95% will accept you and your spam will be seen by a much wider audience than those who respond to your discussions.

I hope you find that advice useful Teddy as it is a good tip.

Well you're in a bad mood, I was only pointing out how the majority of spammers here get through the guidelines. You certainly aren't going to get many through your discussions when you start name calling as you've done today.

ted, i was actually going to pm you and tell you to be careful (so as your discussions DIDN'T get noticed and removed - i.e. it would have been a friendly gesture) but then i saw someone had been giving advice in one of those discussions, as has thea here, so decided that was not necessary. now as the discussion in politics has now descended into kindergarten exchanges i think i am going to leave the children to play by themselves for a while.

Weekly Reader was probably among the first thing a lot of us got in the mail with our name on it. It was always fun to get. That is why I'm doing my part to keep the fun going even in this day of email and ecards.

You're right, there's nothing wrong with Ecards, it is fun getting and sending them. They just don't seem to carry the same excitement that a real paper card does.
