I once asked my dad if he remembered the day when absolutely nothing hurt. He did, which surprised me because I don’t. I’m blessed though because so many Mylotters have mentioned knee problems, and I’ve never had any pain in my...

Ali Canary @TishaMears oh, I know! I broke my ankle really badly from a fall when I was 19 and I was almost good as new in six weeks. But I had knee surgery in 2019, and I still don't feel fully recovered. Getting old ain't for sissies!

I watched Bullet Train. It's the 1975 version. I watched it on Tubi. No, there are no subtitles. It has Ken Takakura, Shin'ichi Chiba, Eiji Go, Akira Oda, and Raita Ryû in it. Big Warning: there are some sad parts The movie...

Australia has another ‘big thing’ and it’s situated in Moora, a small town in Western Australia. This time it’s a pair of endangered Carnaby’s black cockatoos. A public group has been raising funds for the sculpture for seven...

Ali Canary @thislittlepennyearns oh, try Sketchbook! It's such a good program for free. Total functionality, as far as I know, anyway. You can even drop out the background and make it transparent. I have an old Samsung Galaxy Tab with a stylus.

The final big big big big big big big big song. And I didn’t type out all of those bigs just for the sake of it. They are part of the lyrics of this final big song. “Big Time” is a song from Peter Gabriel’s smash 1986 album,...

For Day 3, I embraced the world of gaming miniatures, making a little Gandalf, or some generic wizard, used for a tabletop role-playing game. Since I was thinking of a pewter miniature rather than a painted sculpt, I used grey as...

Ali Canary @thislittlepennyearns it's a very simple, free one called Sketchbook (it has a pencil as the icon). I also downloaded Krita, which is also free and highly rated, but it's very complex. I am still pretty new to digital art (just started in 2022) and Sketchbook...

I'm sure you know a relic is a religious object, but since it's also often used to mean something old, especially in a teasing way, I figured I'd draw this rotary-dial phone based on my memory of the one we had when I was growing...

Ali Canary @AmbiePam I think that's true. I know my boss likes me, but yesterday she asked for me to do a list of the projects she has given me and how far through them I've gotten, so HR might be asking her to estimate how much longer she will need me. There are several...
