Crochet bag...sipping hot tea at work.

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 10:45 AM here as I write this post. It's a bright sunny day and the temperature is getting warmer here.
It's my first break at work since 8:30 this morning. I had back to back meetings with three prospective parents for the next academic year. It's exam time here and students are busy with their exams. I have no one to one sessions with them. Most of my work till mid April would be about winding up this academic year before we go for summer vacation and getting things prepared for new academic year starting in June.
I have a break right now for an hour and then the last meeting of the day with the principal. Then I will head to my younger daughter's school to pick her up. I am sipping a hot cup of tea in this break. The school provides tea/coffee to teachers at this first break and they give a sugar free one to me
. The lady makes a wonderful tea with ginger and cardamom.
. I really enjoy it after hectic back to back meetings. I need to take care of few official mails and that I would do in some time.
I had a hectic weekend with some cleaning chores and online workshop on two days. That's why I was missing here.
Moving on to notifications before reading new posts.
Leaving you with this image of crochet bag made by my younger daughter. She made five of them in similar pattern and they were sold at a fund raising event. I got this one for my personal use. vanny@vandana7 wanted to have a look at them..
. I think it's well made and I have been using it for few months.
Catch you later. Enjoy your time and happy mylotting

No, she does not. She stays in a different state and it would be almost 12 hours or more from my place.

@DaddyEvil You have to consider Indian roads and traffic in consideration. It would be more than that. I have been to the border city of her state and we took almost 11 hours on road to reach there.

Your daughter did a very nice job with the bag.
I think you're getting too much time for a break.
I hope you're enjoying your day.

It's an hour break and I fully deserve it
.
Day is going good so far on the track as it is supposed to be
.
I liked this bag and so I kept one for myself.
. I put the other four for sale but not this one. I asked her to gift this to me.

People always THINK they deserve a break, even when they don't.
She should have told you to buy the bag.

The Crochet is very beautiful.
Making these is a nice skill.
I have been pretty occupied with work, personal life, dealing in different tones with a repairman, including some uncharacteristic arguing!
The schools here seem to be opening up in full offline mode.
It would be a big change after 2 years!
Plus a lot happening at the workplace.
Going to be pretty hectic but could be exciting in some ways as well.

Such beautiful+ durable things make our day.
What happened was that our Geyser needed repair.
I prefer UrbanCompany but nobody was available there.
So I called the local person. He repaired and went.
The geyser developed a problem again.
I called him again.
But he took very long to come.
Then he did not come a whole day for getting another part replaced..In short I had to call him again and again and some rudeness; unavoidable followed.
Not something that I normally do but the situation became like that.
Anyways, have a great day.

He wasn't even Frank and well, he doesn't looks like the guy who would be forthright and say no to something or clearly inform about his change of plans.
In his defence he says that he has to attend to many people's complaints and cannot say no.
Well, one has to deal accordingly.

Yes, it's a big change and even challenging for many children. My counseling sessions at school are full. Many students are coming with their issues to cope up emotionally. It's been a big toll on their mental health especially for those who have lost their loved ones to the virus. Six students in our High school have lost their one set of parents in the last wave
. They have gone through a lot.
It's a big change and my schedules are too packed. But yes, being busy can be exciting too.
What needed repairing at your end?
Sometimes these arguments are unavoidable.
My daughter made it when she was 13 years old. That's a really good bag. It's not only beautiful but also durable and strong. It's going good even after few washes.

@arunima25 I started when I was about 16. But I started with very fine cotton making d'oyles, etc. I took me a while to get used to using wool.

@JudyEv She started it young around 7 years of age at school. Someone told me that wool is easier for beginners and it's quick to fix. I have started in my 40s and my younger daughter is patient enough to teach me. I really struggle there

. I will pass on the compliment to her. She keeps fishing for compliments
. That would make her happy.
She was 13 years old when she made it. And I think that it's a wonderful job for that age
. It's durable too and going good even after few washes. She gave an inner lining of one of the old kurta that was not used by me.

@arunima25 thanks, yesterday only their exams finished. Yes, it's not easy to make such beautiful bags at that age. She is really creative and skilled. Did she learn it from somewhere or from someone?

@sjvg1976 She was introduced in the school when she was 7 years old. She developed an interest and learnt more by exploring online. And yes, she is also creative to come up with a pattern.
Good that exams are over and children can relax. I think that their new session will begin soon.

Also, it is time for new admissions and meeting the new prospective parents. All keeps us busy and also we need to plan and prepare for new academic year in June.
I am glad that you liked the bag. It's beautiful as well as durable. I love it.

Thanks Anna. It's a big bag and comes useful to carry all stuffs to work. And it is quite durable too. Going good so far after few washes
.
She took almost three weeks for each bag. She did the inner lining of clothes too with a sturdy hand stitching. She would do it during her TV watching time. She did it when she was 13 years old and I would say that it's a fabulous job for 13 years old and got good response at sale.
I really appreciate that tea and coffee is made fresh and delivered to all teaching and non teaching staffs.

I think coffee is more popular. I am not a tea or coffee person. I have it only when I have a company. And when it comes to coffee, I take instant one with milk.
. Can't handle black coffee.
