I think I will bake a banana bread this week. I haven't done this for a few months. But now that the weather is getting colder, it seems like the right time to make and enjoy a banana bread. I would also like to make carrot muffins soon as they are very handy when needing a little dessert. Picture from Pixabay I do not like to put frosting on them at all.

@marlina I've always wanted to make banana bread. I really love it especially when it's squishy and moist. So yummy! Enjoy!

@marlina Usually when they are on sale we have to buy a bag of 2 Kg, so I will make muffins and also a carrot creamy soup.

I just threw away 3 overripe bananas and I should have made banana bread but I didn't even think of it. I like to make muffins when the weather gets chilly (without frosting) and have it with my morning coffee. Carrot ones are really good but I'd eat any kind of muffin

When I don't want to do the banana bread right away, I freeze the overipped bananas and do the bread when I feel like it.

@marlina that's a great idea!! next time I have overripe bananas I'll freeze them instead of throwing them away and then I can make banana bread or muffins at my leisure

I tried to find some banana nut bread this morning. I was in the mood. None were available and I didn't have the ingredients to make it myself. I don't care for commercial frostings but I do make my own occasionally. Depends on my mood.

Both sound delicious, I love carrot muffins or carrot loaf. My Gramma used to make the best carrot loaf, she would bake it in an emptied soup can so that it was round, us kids loved that.

@marlina Once the babies are a couple of years old I will probably start to do that. It is a smaller slice of the bread that would be perfect for a child.

@Juliaacv I slice my bread and freeze it. I can cut it the size I want. The babies would love that bread.

One of my co-workers baked some banana bread and brought it in to our office yesterday. It was absolutely delicious. It's been quite a while since I had last had banana bread, so I enjoyed several slices.

Banana bread is excellent. My mom used to make it. A great use for those extra bananas before they spoil Bananas are rich in potassium and vitamin B6. Banana bread made with these fruits contains a good amount of these nutrients

They are yummy as they are and do not need frosting. I made two loaves of banana bread and I believe that home made goodie is part of why my hubby is feeling better.
