Meals - 12/4/22

The Cleveland Browns won! I won't say we are going for our shots today because I've said that for several days. I guess we shall see!
Yesterday we did work on getting the ingredients together for making cabbage rolls for Christmas. We are going to make a big roaster full. We can both sit down; so we should be able to manage it without a lot of trouble. The only things we found that we need are the perishable items.
Breakfast - Peanut butter bar
Lunch - Chicken corn chowder
Dessert/Snack - Donut and decaf coffee
Dinner - Peanut butter bar and strawberry yogurt

My husband inhales them. We never have enough to freeze because he eats them all!

@LindaOHio - My husband does not like, I have stomach problems if I eat cabbage, I forgot about this recipe.

Cabbage rolls bring back memories of my Aunt. She made them for the holidays and they were delicious. I've never attempted to make them myself and I don't know why.
Last night we had burgers with some TGI Fridays bacon and cheese potato skins.

They are a lot of work. Hubs wilts the cabbage leaves; and I roll up the meat.

lunch - rice and pork meat with coconut milk

You combine ground beef (you can also add some ground pork), rice, seasonings. Then you roll up the ground beef combination in wilted cabbage leaves. Then the rolls are layered with sauerkraut and a combination of tomato juice, lemon juice, etc. I don't know what you could substitute for the cabbage leaves.

There are hundreds of recipes for them. I started with a recipe and then put my own spin on it.

@porwest You have to be careful when you're wilting the cabbage not to cook it. It will shred if it's too soft.
