What Time is It?

Don’t say that it’s Howdy Doody Time. That was a popular children’s TV show in the late 40’s to 1960.
It seems we have three clocks all in a row: a cuckoo clock, a new clock, and a mantel clock in our new old family room
. Just realized that.
However, the pink and green epoxy and olive wood-clock was a gift from our younger son. He had it made for us in the Ukraine.
We both have been supporting the people in the Ukraine as best as we can. He has purchased some fabulous pieces of handmade art for his home. I have bought gold trident necklaces for my grandkids.
Anyway, it’s TIME for me to see what’s going on in your life.

I have donated many new things that we never used to furnish the apartments that our Mayor gave to the Ukrainian refugees. They received so much that some people had to bring back home what they wanted to donate. The only think I sold from Mom's apartment was the cuckoo clock, I always hated it, horrible noisy thing.

I feel awful for those Ukrainians. I pray that nothing like that ever happens in the US.
We love our cuckoo clock. It was bought when we were in the Black Forest in Germany and our grandkids love it. Hubs only sets it up when they visit, because it drives him crazy

@DianneN - We are very concerned here in Europe, who knows what Putin has in mind, we do not feel safe.
My father bought the cuckoo clock during a vacation in the Black Forest. I stopped it during the night to have a peaceful sleep since I was a very young girl.

@LadyDuck Putin is a maniac. Others, too.
It seems the Black Forest is the best place to buy cuckoo clocks.
Luckily, our bedrooms are upstairs, so we don’t hear a thing. Unfortunately for hubs, it’s right next to the family room where he watches TV
This is the clock

The only two places with the correct time are my computer and my phone. No two clocks have the same time on them, though I set them to the correct time when the time changed. Go figure.
That's great you're supporting the people of Ukraine.

@DianneN My beautiful standing clock in the living room picks up speed, so by the time it's ready for the time change, it's ahead five minutes. The microwave and stove are already two minutes off and not the same two minutes. Even my clock radio doesn't have the same time as my watch which is close to my computer time.

When my brother was in the Arny he was stationed in Germany and he sent both my mom and myself cuckoo clocks. I really loved mine even though it was a bit noisy. I love clocks in general

@DianneN they can be annoying but I still always loved mine. We've always been a family to have cuckoo clocks and Hummels. Don't know where it all came from

I love my new clock the most. It’s perfect for our room and so thoughtful of our son getting it for us and supporting a Ukrainian man.

I never heard of that show before. I never even saw reruns of it. We were living in Asia and in Europe until 1970 so I do not know much about old TV shows unless they were reruns.
i do like the fact that you are buying stuff to help the people of Ukraine. Their country was so beautiful and all the damage that Russia as done to that country is just wrong.

Really cool room and a really cool clock. We still have 1" of water in the basement; and the hot water heater is still off.

You'll never not know the time
. I don't think I've ever seen this view of your lovely family room!
It's wonderful you've been supporting the Ukraine! I have a friend from junior high who felt compelled to help and she actually went out there last year (to Poland and the border, I think). She and her family ended up being a sponsor to a young woman - who lives with them in the US now.
