"Pony Time" was released by Chubby Checker in 1961. Checker was an American rock and roll singer and dancer. The song was written by Don Covay and John Berry and originally recorded 8n 1960 by Covay and his "Goodtimers". However, "Pony Time" didn't have much success until Checker's version hit the charts at #1. The Pony requires the dancers to look like they are riding a horse as you will see in the video below: Have you ever danced The Pony? Video Credit: YouTube

Yes, I have! Wait. There's no comma there. No, I haven't. I'll give this a listen. One of my favorite Indian songs for kids has "dance moves" involving riding a horse. I'll see if I can find the link. @Vandana7, can you help me? It's from the latter ('80s, I think, Masoom). Maybe you can translate.

@vandana7 We played cowboys and Indians when I was a kid. Is that still allowed?

That was always a funny time to me between the 50s and early 60s. Such a cutesie, bopsy time, but also of course a simpler time. A far cry from the twerking and things nowadays.

@LindaOHio I have a photo of my sister sitting on a miniature pony taken years ago. Apparently that was a thing back then.
