Have you set your totally arbitrary MyLot goal for May 2023?

My goals are just for "sport." No pressure.

Kinda it has been a busy month for me. I believe I will be busy right through October, 2023. November and December will provide me the required respite...even then, I plan to undertake some repairs at home. So kinda...this year ..myLot will not be high on my priority list....

Is Greg still around?

Here I come...yeah...preparing for onslaught of work in coming next few months. Our complex is getting painted...and few more things are being done. It should have been over by end of April, but its stretching ...everybody is fed up... My house ...I like to get terrace cleaned before rains start, so that no dry leaves that fall on terrace block any outlets...this is something that needs to be done annually, my father never did it, I ended up paying huge sums for water leakages and water proofing...grrrrr....dad wouldn't hear of this work. Roof gets damaged when water stagnates on it...so both roofs attended... Then sewers and sewer lines.... you know India....I hate that water pushing back into my compound....so I take extra care to ensure that this does not happen...clean up all the lines....and attend to plumbing jobs if any too before June 5th. A little bit of cleaning of yard too, I am not friends with rats and snakes..and dogs..LOL What is lined up in June? 1. Grill door for aunty's house 2. IT returns and IT return info ..for me, dad, dad, and aunty... 3. Consulting an advocate / document writer for details on how to get aunty's properties sold, without her around. 4. Some of her financial transactions...mostly renewals. 5. Cleaning up this house...summer does result in a lot of dust... 6. Renewal of health insurance coverage for dad..and a few of mine too. 7. Preparing inventory list for whatever is in Aunty's flat for emptying the flat since she is not likely to return. Since it will be cooler after mid June, I will have to start next month 8. Organize some bed covers stitching since her stuff will be moved to her own house, and lot of dust is there in that house. Grrr. 9. Advocate meetings for our case coming up for hearing September onwards (not sure when these will start). 10. Advance tax payments for me, as well self assessment taxes for dad, me, and aunty. 11. Aunty's car insurance These are in addition to the normal, collection of rent, cooking, looking after my parent and myself. July 1. Want to go to Shirdi...evil me cannot wait till October. LOL 2. Shift aunty's stuff. 3. Aunty's Fd renewals 4. Take a breather before August...cousin is likely to arrive...around that time or maybe in September... 5. Advocate meetings August 1. Cousin is likely to turn up 2. My former neighbor is likely to turn up for a brief stay 3. My former colleague is likely to turn up for a brief stay 4. My father's friend's daughter is likely to turn up for a brief stay 5. Advocate meetings 6. Our car insurance September 1. Advocate meetings... 2. Advance tax for me October... Depends ..on how the case is progressing...September and October can get really hectic if the dates are given continuously and no adjournments are there. What is happening is our case details are too many. Each time they give us a date, we spend time refreshing so that advocate does not miss out on anything. Multiple times. What to highlight, what to sideline...after all, ours is not the only case that guy is handling. Reading it all so many times is boring for anybody, including the advocates. With so many adjournments...the person needs to be motivated... I pity the judges ..forced to read so much and no way to remember what they read and remember of another case. Adjournments have them mixed up.

@TheHorse - I will not say a word of course. I could make a lot more translating texts for local companies, but I am retired after all.

I am just plugging along. Yes, we had a glitch. What's funny (to me) is that I can make way more at Guitar Center by staying a few minutes extra after my last lesson and discussing music with a colleague than I can on even a good day at MyLot. Don't tell the folks at Guitar Center I said that.

I think the bank is still a bit wonky, but I'm not really concerned about it. I enjoy the interaction, and I enjoy learning new stuff here.

Yep, just enjoying good conversation is where it's at.
