I was reading an article this morning about the spread of infectious diseases. In addition to all the other problems that climate change is causing, the warmer weather, rising waters, etc. will make infectious diseases easier to spread. If you want to read more about it, following is an article (not the one I read): Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Pork loin, rice, carrots, peas, applesauce, mini vanilla wafers Dessert/Snack - Chocolate chip muffin and decaf coffee Dinner - Piece of pizza What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Mine - Cockatoo, Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary, Tavernier, Florida Keys, Mile Marker 93.6

That is a great photo. In just a few weeks, we will be going back to house-sit Jim, the sulphur-crested cockatoo. He looks just like this.

I think I ate four yogurt bars. Chicken and rice soup for lunch and infamous potato soup for dinner.

@celticeagle I'm surprised at how many people think climate change is just rubbish.

I read an article about viruses a while back and it touched on the theory that because the ice caps are melting it could be releasing ancient viruses for which we have no immunities. I'm not really sure what to believe anymore.

Yeah, I've noticed that and the article I read thinks it's due to the ice caps melting and that those diseases are a little different from the ones that had been irradicated.

I don't know about that; but I do know that diseases we thought were eradicated are showing up again.

The world is turning against us. Food yesterday: Breakfast - Sliced bananas in milk. Lunch - Cheese sandwich on Ezekiel bread, eggs with Feta cheese. Snack - Strawberry shortcake on angel food cake and a serving of sugar-free chocolate ice cream. Calories were less than the day before.

I hope you don't get sick next month. Does it have anything to do with going back to school?

Yep - I've been hearing that too. On top of that there will be insect infestations too . . . and if they're the biting kind, I imagine they will be spreading stuff too . Cute cockatoo! I ate too much yesterday .

I have read about so many celebs cancelling tours, like Madonna, due to a bacterial infection. My pnemonia was bacterial. I go to the office once a month, and have since last October. I told my manager today that it was the first time ever that I have gone without packing cough medicine. She appologized because she really had no idea how ill I really was.

I'm so glad your cough is finally gone. I've been thinking about you and wondering if you were still coughing.

I have also read about more infectious diseases and more problems with the avian flu that is now affecting the stray cats, as they kill the birds to eat them.
